A conductive tape for an electrifiable fence comprising a tape of woven or knitted construction having at least two conducting wires arranged longitudinally and integrally in the woven or knitted structure. A bridging conductor is carried in or on the knitted or woven structure and is directed transversely across the two longitudinal conductors at intervals, so that, if a break occurs in one of the conductors, the current path is capable of continuing via the bridging conductor.

Fencing tape with electrically conducting wires

Fence wires for the confinement of stock animals, zoo animals or wild animals have an electrically conductive synthetic plastic sheath and a tension resisting core which is made of either a textile material or a fence wire. The sheath is rendered conductive by the incorporation of amino compounds which are vulcanized with the chloropolymers of the sheath material, by the incorporation of metallic hairs or conductive plasticizers.

This invention relates to wheel-like electric fence standards where an electrified fence wire passes through an insulated hub member from which radiates a number of legs to form a wheel-like configuration and is characterized in that a contactor within the hub automatically connects and disconnects successively the legs from the fence wire to prevent the legs in contact with the ground from short-circuiting the fence.
