A method of transferring at least one subterranean core sample from a retrieval vessel to a testing vessel can include removing at least one pressure barrier on the retrieval vessel using a linear actuator while maintaining a sampling pressure on the at least one subterranean core sample at which the at least one subterranean core sample is taken from a subterranean formation. The method can also include pressurizing the testing vessel to the sampling pressure using the linear actuator, and transferring the at least one subterranean core sample from the retrieval vessel to the testing vessel. The method can further include sealing the testing vessel with the at least one subterranean core sample at the sampling pressure, where the testing vessel allows the at least one subterranean core sample to be tested while the at least one subterranean core sample is maintained at the sampling pressure.

A method of deliquification of production wells includes placing an artificial lift tool in a gas wellbore, where the artificial lift tool includes a rack and multiple piezoelectric transducers. The rack includes multiple trays. Each piezoelectric transducer of the multiple piezoelectric transducers is positioned on a respective tray of the multiple trays. The method further includes providing, by a pump, a liquid on surfaces of the multiple piezoelectric transducers and providing, by a signal source, an electrical signal to the multiple piezoelectric transducers. The method also includes generating, by the multiple piezoelectric transducers, acoustic waves from the electrical signal, where at least some of the liquid provided to the multiple piezoelectric transducers is atomized by the acoustic waves.

A system for transferring at least one subterranean core sample under pressure can include a retrieval vessel that collects and houses the at least one subterranean core sample at a sampling pressure at which the at least one subterranean core is collected. The system can also include a linear actuator that couples to the retrieval vessel through a valve in the open position at a first time, where the linear actuator facilitates removal of at least one pressure barrier from the retrieval vessel through the valve at the first time while maintaining the sampling pressure of the at least one subterranean sample. The system can further include a testing vessel that couples to the linear actuator through the valve in the open position at a second time, and a hydraulic device that facilitates pressurizing the testing vessel to the sampling pressure at the second time.

A system for determining positions of a sand control service tool includes a wash pipe positioned below the sand control service tool. The system further includes a sensor attached to the wash pipe. The system also includes one or more magnets attached to downhole completion equipment. The sensor is configured to generate position indicator information that indicates whether the one or more magnets are within a threshold distance from the sensor. A crossover port of the sand control service tool is positioned above a sand control packer when the one or more magnets are within the threshold distance from the sensor.

A system for monitoring a floating roof of a liquid storage tank and a method for use of the system are described. The system includes linear position measuring devices to determine the vertical location and orientation of the floating roof within the storage tank and one or more transmitters to relay such information to a monitoring, recording, or control device, or to a remote computer network location. Typically, three measuring devices are used, positioned at or near the top of the storage tank and generally equally spaced around the perimeter of the tank. The system and method are useful to monitor the position and inclination of a liquid storage tank floating roof, such as may be used in the petrochemical, chemical and other industries where such storage tanks are in use.

This disclosure relates to a wellbore electrical isolation system and method. The system may comprise an electrically conductive tube, an insulating layer covering at least a portion of the tube, an electrically conductive centralizer, electrically insulating confinement devices, and/or other components. In some implementations, the system may be configured to electrically isolate one or more sections of an electrically conductive well tubing string from an electrically conductive wellbore casing. In some implementations, a well may include one or more wellbore electrical isolation systems. Electrical isolation of the tubing string from the casing may facilitate powering one or more electrical loads disposed within the wellbore via a coaxial transmission line formed by the casing and the tubing string.

A system for determining characteristics of a multiphase fluid includes pipe and multiple pairs of transducers positioned circumferentially around the pipe. Each pair of transducers includes a transmitting transducer and a receiving transducer. The transmitting transducer of each pair of transducers is oriented to transmit a respective acoustic signal toward the receiving transducer of the pair of transducers. The transmitting transducer of each pair of transducers is operable to transmit the respective acoustic signal sequentially with respect to other transmitting transducers of the multiple pairs of transducers. A reception of a first acoustic signal transmitted by a transmitting transducer of a first pair transducers of the multiple pairs of transducers is completed by a receiving transducer of the first pair transducers before a transmitting transducer of another pair of transducers of the multiple pairs of transducers transmits a second acoustic signal.
