A method for representing online content item ownership information is provided. The method includes receiving information identifying a first content item and a first owner, and generating a first data object associating the first content item with the first owner. A plurality of data objects is maintained, including the first data object comprising first descriptive data, and a second data object comprising second descriptive data associating a second content item and a second owner. The method generates a first reconciled data object responsive to determining that the first content item corresponds to the second content item and that the first owner and the second owner are different. The method determines degree of overlap between third descriptive data associated with a third content item and the reconciled data objects maintained in the data store. The third data object is associated with the reconciled data object with the highest degree of overlap.

Model for representing online ownership information

A system and method are disclosed for identifying a plurality of past videos posted via a first group of channels, determining, for each channel of a second group, an average number of access requests that a future video to be posted via a respective channel is predicted to receive within a first time interval after posting, determining, for each channel of the second group, a plurality of adjusted average numbers of access requests that the future video to be posted via the respective channel of the second group is predicted to receive within the first time interval, wherein each of the plurality of adjusted average numbers of access requests is determined using an adjustment factor reflecting a number of access requests received by a past video posted via a respective channel of the first group, and determining whether the second group of channels satisfies a predetermined access criterion.

System and method for modelling access requests to multi-channel content sharing platforms

Implementations disclose determining connections between sound recordings and compositions. A method includes maintaining, by a server device of a content sharing platform, a serving structure to represent resources comprising sound recording resources and composition resources and explicit connections between the resources, generating a hypothesis structure from the serving structure, the hypothesis structure comprising the resources and the explicit connections of the serving structure and inferred connections between the resources, the inferred connections identified based on data comprised in the resources of the serving structure, and upon receiving a user approval of at least one of the inferred connections, adding, by the server device, the at least one of the inferred connections to the serving structure.

Determining connections between sound recordings and compositions

In a rights system, a plurality of asserted and reconciled assets are maintained. For example, asserted and reconciled assets can be maintained in a table structure of the rights system. Each asserted asset can associated an asset with an owner and additionally include descriptive data describing the asset. Asserted assets can be created by the rights system based on descriptive data provided to the rights system by owners of assets. In contrast, reconciled assets are generated by the right system by associating one or more asserted assets. The set of asserted assets can be modified, both through updates to the descriptive data of existing asserted assets, and through the generation of new asserted assets based on additional descriptive data. Based on the modifications to the asserted assets, the set of reconciled assets can be modified to reflect new or corrected information present in the set of asserted assets.

In an embodiment, a method for distributed discussion collaboration is provided. The computer-implemented method includes selecting a featured discussion item for each of one or more collaborators based on information associated with each respective collaborator. The method also includes providing selected featured discussion items for display to respective one or more collaborators. The method further includes receiving voting information for the featured discussion items displayed to the respective one or more collaborators. In another embodiment, a system for distributed discussion collaboration includes a selection module configured to select a featured discussion item for each of one or more collaborators based on information associated with each respective collaborator.
