A damper assembly includes a frame, a damper blade coupled to the frame and configured to transition between an open position and a closed position, and a latch configured to be secured within the damper assembly via a clip portion of the latch. The latch is configured to deform to facilitate transitioning of the damper blade from the open position to the closed position and then to expand to capture and retain the damper blade in the closed position.

Damper for HVAC system

A damper for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a damper blade, a frame coupled to the damper blade and defining a perimeter of an air flow path through the damper, and a frame member of the frame. The frame member defines a portion of the perimeter of the air flow path and includes a base portion, an upstream end portion, and a downstream end portion. Each of the upstream end portion and the downstream end portion extends obliquely from the base portion.

A damper assembly includes a frame having an inner surface and a protrusion extending inwardly relative to the inner surface, a damper blade coupled to the frame and configured to transition between an open position and a closed position, and a latch coupled to the inner surface of the frame. The latch is configured to deform to facilitate transition of the damper blade between the open position and the closed position and to expand to capture and retain the damper blade in the closed position, the latch includes a tab segment configured to move toward the protrusion during deformation of the latch and to move away from the protrusion during expansion of the latch, and a distal end of the tab segment overlaps with a thickness of the protrusion.

Described is a louver having a frame that forms an enclosure defining an opening, and a plurality of louver blades disposed within the opening. Each of the plurality of louver blades include a catch member that longitudinally extends between a first blade end and a second blade end of a corresponding louver blade. The louver may also include a rotation assembly configured to rotatably couple with the plurality of louver blades and the frame. The plurality of louver blades may autonomously rotate about rotation members of the rotation assembly based on environmental elements captured in the catch member such that the plurality of louver blades are configured in an open position in response to no water in the catch member and are configured in a closed position in response to an amount of environmental elements in the catch member.
