An article holder apparatus includes a first support unit and a plurality of interchangeable support bracket modules connectable to the first support unit. Each support bracket module is tailor made for supporting a specific article, e.g. a fishing rod, a long gun, or a bow. The first support un article reception portion. A pair of vertical risers are connected to opposite ends of the V-shaped article reception portion. A pair of horizontal bracket module reception tubes are connected to the vertical risers. Each interchangeable support bracket module includes a pair of horizontal connector rods for reception in the bracket module reception tubes. First bracket module article support means are connected to the connector rods, and second bracket module article support means are connected to a distal end of the first bracket module article support means. A jaw member can be connected to the support bracket module.

Modular article holder apparatus

A fishing rod holder apparatus includes a first support unit which includes a V-shaped rod reception portion and a pair of first risers connected to opposite ends of the V-shaped rod reception portion. A second support unit includes a pair of railing rest members connected to the pair of first risers for resting on top of a railing and also includes a downwardly extending U-shaped member which serves to laterally confine the railing rest. A third support unit is connected to the second support unit, and the third support unit includes a front extension portion connected to the second support unit. A first handle rest portion is connected to the front extension portion. A rear extension portion is connected to the first handle rest portion, and a second handle rest portion is connected to the rear extension portion. With another embodiment of the invention, the second support unit includes an pair of adjustment tubes, and the third support unit includes a pair of adjustment rods which are telescopically received in the pair of adjustment tubes. Each of the adjustment tubes includes a first direction projecting tube portion and a second direction projecting tube portion. The first direction projecting tube portion is longer than the second direction projecting tube portion. Locking devices are provided for locking the pair of adjustment rods with respect to the pair of adjustment tubes.

The disclosure is directed to an apparatus and method for receiving and processing an optical signal representative of electronic information. In an embodiment of the invention there is provided a light-emitting diode which is reverse biased to receive the optical signal and convert the optical signal to an electronic signal. Means are provided for determining time periods during which the electronic signal produced by the light-emitting diode is below a predetermined threshold. Means are provided for generating a dark current error signal indicative of a sampled output of the light-emitting diode during said time periods. Means are also provided for holding the error signal during other time periods when the electronic signal produced by the light-emitting diode is not below the predetermined threshold. Finally, means are provided for modifying the electronic signal produced by the light-emitting diode as a function of the held error signal to obtain an output electronic signal. In the disclosed embodiment, the light-emitting diode is reverse biased and coupled across an input of an operational amplifier which is arranged to produce an output voltage that depends upon the current in the light-emitting diode. A resistor is coupled between the output of the operational amplifier and the input of a voltage buffer. A threshold detector determines when the output of the voltage buffer is below a predetermined threshold, and produces an enable signal when the voltage buffer output is below the threshold. A sample-and-hold circuit samples the output of the buffer in response to the enable signal. The output of the sample-and-hold circuit is coupled via a resistor to the input of the voltage buffer. An output terminal is coupled to the output of the voltage buffer.

Apparatus and method for fiber optics communication with dark current

A tray attaches to both arms of a folding lawn chair. In the unfolded position the tray is horizontal and the back portion of the tray is toward the back panels of the chair. In the folded position the tray is vertical and the back portion of the tray is toward the front of the arm. In the folded position the tray latches the chair in the folded position and the tray must be removed to unfold the chair. The tray has button knobs on the bottom surface of the back portion which attach into keyhole slots in the top of the arms.

The invention utilizes a commercially available so-called 'quad-pack' of logic gates; i.e. four exclusive OR or exclusive NOR gates mounted in a package. With minimal use of additional components and minimal circuit coupling, a quad-pack of this type is used to produce a detector circuit with FM limiting and an approximate 90.degree. phase shift. The circuit can be used for detecting an FM modulated video signal.

Limiter and detector circuit and method

The specification discloses a remote operated wrench whereby a squeezable handle connected to a ratchet via a flexible cable imparts a torque to a drive. The ratchet and drive are carried by a housing. A guide extending from the housing receives a flexible cable which imparts a torque to a movable arm pivotally mounted on the housing and extending therefrom. A pawl is pivotally mounted on the arm and extends therefrom so that it engages and turns the ratchet wheel when the arm is rotated in one direction, but slips freely over the wheel when the arm is rotated in the opposite direction. A drive is provided on both sides of the ratchet wheel for a gripping means such as a socket or stud to grip a workpiece. A strut also extending from the housing restrains movement of the housing when the arm engages the ratchet wheel. The flexible cable engages the arm and pivots it toward the guide when the squeezable handle is compressed. A spring acting between the guide and arm returns the movable arm to its rest position after the tension in the cable is relaxed. The cable is carried in a flexible housing having one end anchored in the guide, the other in the squeezable handle. When compressed, the squeezable handle strains the cable thereby imparting a torque to the arm which engages the ratchet wheel and drive.

The invention pertains to a video display apparatus which includes a cathode ray tube having at least one electron gun and means for deriving a source of excitatory voltage signal representative of picture information. In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, there is provided a system for stabilizing the display intensity of the electron gun comprising means for amplifying the voltage signal and a constant current means including resistive means coupling the amplified voltage signal to the cathode of said electron gun, the resistive means having an impedance which is substantially greater than the input impedance of the cathode. In another embodiment of the invention, amplifier means are provided for applying the excitatory voltage signal to a control grid of the electron gun and a feedback signal generating means is provided for sensing the beam current of the electron gun and generating a feedback signal as a function of the sensed current. The amplifier means is modulated in accordance with the generated feedback signal.

Stabilizing system for cathode ray tube

The invention pertains to a video display apparatus which includes a cathode ray tube having at least one electron gun and means for deriving a source of excitatory voltage signal representative of picture information. In accordance with the invention there is provided a system for stabilizing the display intensity attributable to the electron gun comprising means coupling the source of voltage signal to the gun for generating a stabilized current in the gun, the level of current in the gun being substantially independent of variations in the operating characteristics of the gun. In the preferred embodiment of the invention a test signal is periodically applied at a predetermined level to the gun. A sampler samples the beam current of the gun during the test signal and generates a correction signal in accordance with the sample value. The correction signal is applied to the electron gun so as to stabilize its reference current level.

System for stabilizing cathode ray tube operation

An apparatus for use in conjunction with a processing system of the type which receives an input video signal comprising successive scanlines, each of which consists of a blanking portion that includes timing signals followed by an active portion representative of color picture information. The processing system is of a type that has an inherent delay whereby the output thereof is a television video signal delayed with respect to the input video signal. The invention is directed to an apparatus for generating a revised output video signal having timing signals in synchronism with the input video. In accordance with the invention there is provided a means for generating blanking portions in synchronism with the blanking portions of the input video signal. Means are further provided for selecting portions of the output of the processing system which occur between the generated blanking portions and for combining the generated blanking portions and the selected portions to produce the revised output video signal.
