In various implementations, a raceway may include a housing with walls and arms extending from the housing. A cavity may be disposed in the housing and cables may reside in the cavity, during use. The cables may provide connectivity to receptacles of the raceway and thus a variety of devices. A cover may be utilized with the housing to facilitate access to the cables in the cavity of the housing. In some implementations, the cover may be retained by flexible arms of the housing. The raceway may be configured to receive wire clips to retain cables and/or conduit disposed in a cavity of the raceway.

Low profile raceway

In various implementations, a raceway may be provided that is capable of providing power and/or data connectivity to items (e.g., devices, articles of furniture, etc.) coupled to the raceway. The raceway may be low profile. The raceway may be disposed on floor and/or under floor. The raceway may include an integrated power housing. The raceway may include segments that are selected, as desired for an application configuration, and that are coupleable to each other or other components of the raceway (e.g., nodes, joints, etc.). The housing of component(s) of the raceway may include a base and wall(s) with at least curved section and at least one straight section.

The present invention introduces a raceway for association with a floor and a support of a structure to provide power or communications connectivity between the support and a location on the floor. The raceway includes a housing and a fastener. The housing, that is substantially equal in length to a distance between the location on the floor and the support, includes a conduit and a sloping side. The conduit is adapted to receive one or more lines from the support, the one or more lines are capable of communicating signals to the location on the floor. The sloping side, that has a length substantially equal to a length of the raceway, provides a gradual transition between the floor and the raceway and is capable of being substantially covered by a floor cover. The fastener can be associated with the housing to at least substantially ensconce the one or more lines. The fastener and the housing are capable of cooperating to integrate the raceway and the floor cover.

Raceway for providing power and communications connectivity

The present invention introduces a raceway for association with a floor and a support of a structure to provide power or communications connectivity between the support and a location on the floor. The raceway includes a housing and a fastener. The housing, that is substantially equal in length to a distance between the location on the floor and the support, comprises a conduit and a sloping side. The conduit is adapted to receive one or more lines from the support, the one or more lines are capable of communicating signals to the location on the floor. The sloping side, that has a length substantially equal to a length of the raceway, provides a gradual transition between the floor and the raceway and is capable of being substantially covered by a floor cover. The fastener can be associated with the housing to at least substantially ensconce the one or more lines. The fastener and the housing are capable of cooperating to integrate the raceway and the floor cover.
