A seal including a first metal component; a second metal component couplable with the first metal component; and a shape memory alloy having a first state and a second state, the first state and the second state being different in at least one dimension, wherein in response to an external stimulus, the shape memory alloy transitions in one or more dimension from the first state to the second state thereby forming at least one metal-to-metal seal.

Method and system for creating metal-to-metal

Apparatuses and methods for pressure regulating check valve assemblies are described. In an example, the check valve assembly comprises a housing defining a fluid passage having a fluid inlet side and a fluid outlet side. A lift check valve positioned within the fluid passage oriented to restrict fluid flow from the fluid inlet side and a second check valve positioned within the fluid passage oriented to restrict fluid flow from the fluid outlet side. A flow dampener is positioned within the fluid passage and between the first and second check valves.

Pressure regulating check valve

An array of sensors provided on the outside of a tubular string for measuring a property within the tubular string. The array of sensors may include a plurality of connected sensors, wherein at least one of the plurality of connected sensors is at least partially encompassed in a shroud. A snorkel line may extend from the shroud, the snorkel line capable of coupling with a sensor port in a tubular of the tubular string. The snorkel line may establish fluid communication between one of the sensors at least partially encompassed in the shroud and a corresponding sensor port of a tubular in the tubular string.

A tubular string formed by one or more tubulars with a central flow passage for an internal fluid therethrough and an external surface. The tubular having a wall thickness defined between external surface and the central flow passage and at least one sensor port disposed along a longitudinal length of the tubular. At least one sensor includes a main body and=nipple extending from the main body and inserted into the sensor port of the tubular. The nipple extends through the wall thickness sufficient to detect a property of an internal fluid within the central flow passage.

A spoolable array of sensors may be deployed within a wellbore and external a tubular string for measuring properties of a fluid in the central flow passage of the tubular string. A flow port may be made in the tubular string passing from the central flow passage to the external surface. Sensors of the spoolable array of sensors may be covered with a shroud and placed proximate the flow port, or such sensors may be isolated in a zone with packers along with the flow port. The spoolable array of sensors may additionally obtain pressure data to calculate a flow rate from a production zone. The spoolable array of sensors may also be employed in a non-flowing wellbore for monitoring nearby wellbores.

Determining downhole properties with sensor array

Apparatuses and methods for pressure regulating check valve assemblies are described. In an example, the check valve assembly comprises a housing defining a fluid passage having a fluid inlet side and a fluid outlet side. A first check valve positioned within the fluid passage oriented to restrict fluid flow from the fluid inlet side and a second check valve positioned within the fluid passage oriented to restrict fluid flow from the fluid outlet side. A flow dampener is positioned within the fluid passage and between the first and second check valves.

A pressure test system for use in downhole fluid injection includes a shear plug assembly disposed along a flow path defined in a sump housing. The sump housing also includes a sump cavity positioned downstream of the shear plug assembly. A shear element of the shear plug assembly secures the shear plug assembly in a first position within the flow path, so that the shear plug assembly blocks fluid flow through the sump housing. Following a pressure test, fluid pressure on the shear plug assembly may be increased until the shear element of the shear plug assembly shears, after which, the pressurized fluid drives the shear plug assembly into the sump cavity, permitting flow to bypass the sump cavity through bypass channels. The bypass channels and other flow paths may be arranged to function as a pressure wave muffler in order to protect pressure sensitive components after shear out.
