A patient monitor system includes a monitor mount, a first monitor, and a second monitor adapted to provide for data and power transfer between the monitors and the mount. The monitor mount may detachably secure the second monitor, and the second monitor can detachably secure (or otherwise physically interface with) the first monitor. The first monitor may be first mounted or otherwise detachably secured to the second monitor to form an expanded monitor system, and the monitor system may be then detectably secured to the monitor mount. Alternatively, the second monitor may be first mounted or otherwise detachably secured to the monitor mount, and the first monitor may be subsequently inserted into or otherwise mounted within a mounting area defined by the second monitor, the monitor mount, or both the second monitor and the monitor mount.

A system including an x-ray scanner gantry having: a housing; a gantry gear; a rotor; a generator mounted on the rotor; and first and second generator gears connected to or engaged with one or more axles of the generator. The second generator gear is engaged with the gantry gear. A motor rotates the intermediate gear via a motor gear. A second actuator actuates the motor gear to engage the motor with the rotor. A control module operates in first and second modes and: while in the first mode, engages the intermediate gear to the first generator gear via the first actuator to rotate, via the motor gear, the intermediate gear and as a result the first generator gear; and while in the second mode, engage the motor to the rotor via the second actuator to rotate, via the motor gear, the rotor and as a result the second generator gear.

A docking station for a patient monitoring device and method of locking the patient monitoring device in the docking station is provided. A housing selectively supports a patient monitoring device thereon and a first port positioned on the housing receives a patient monitoring device therein. A sensor senses one of a presence and absence of the patient monitoring device within the first port. A locking mechanism mechanically locks the patient monitoring device within the first port, wherein the locking mechanism maintains the docking station and patient monitoring device in a mechanically locked state in response to sensing the presence of the patient monitoring device within the first port.

Apparatus and method for mechanically providing power to a generator on a continuous rotatable rotor of an X-ray scanner

An apparatus and method for improving signal to noise ratio of a physiological signal is provided. At least one sensor senses the analog data signal, the analog data signal having a first component including ECG data and a second component including ancillary data. A converter is coupled to the at least one sensor that automatically converts the analog data signal into a digital data signal and decimates the digital data signal from a first sample rate to a second sample rate. A gain compensation circuit is coupled to the converter that automatically measures a magnitude of at least one of the first component and second component of the digital data signal and compares the measured magnitude to a reference value to determine if a gain applied to the analog data signal should be modified and automatically compensates the digital data signal in response to the determination that the analog gain value should be modified, wherein the compensated digital data signal corrects defects associated with a settling period of the converter resulting from modifying the gain applied to the analog data signal.

System and method for improving signal to noise ratio for high frequency signal component

A non-invasive blood pressure monitoring system, includes an air channel having one or more inlet and exhaust ports to ambient air. An electronically controlled pump inflates and deflates a cuff applied to a patient limb with air via the air channel. A water tight sealed housing containing electronic circuitry for processing signals used in deriving a measurement of patient blood pressure in conjunction with inflating and deflating the cuff. The water tight sealed housing also is sealed from the air channel.

Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring system

A system adaptively orients a display image on a device for presenting data acquired via one or more cables connected to a particular side of the device. The system includes a sensor for detecting orientation of the device and providing a device orientation representative signal indicating whether the device is in a first orientation or a second orientation substantially different to the first orientation. A display screen presents display images on the device. A display generator automatically generates a display image on the display screen oriented to be upright in the first and second orientations of the device, in response to the orientation representative signal. A command processor adaptively selects functions assigned to user selectable buttons positioned on both sides of the display screen of the device, in response to the orientation representative signal.

System for adaptively orienting a display image on a device

An ECG system is used in ECG signal measurement of intra-cardiac ECG using a catheter. The system includes a lead signal switch for disconnecting an amplifier input terminal from a reference point and reconnecting the input terminal to a patient limb electrode. An ECG signal processor amplifies the difference of a chest lead signal electronically connected to a catheter, and a patient limb signal provided by the reconnecting of the input terminal.
