A toilet tank dispenser having an inlet/outlet tube and including a valve which restricts water flow in one direction while not substantially restricting water flow in the opposite direction. The valve causes the water flowing into the inlet/outlet tube during the filling cycle to flow sufficiently slowly to create an air space in the tube. The air space becomes an air bubble in the top of the inlet/outlet tube during quiescent periods to isolate the dispenser contents from the tank.

A child resistant container construction. The dispensing opening of the container is normally closed by a plug having a pull tab thereon. The plug is removable and reinsertable in the dispensing opening. The plug is formed so that it is distortable. A rigid, rotary locking member is carried by the plug. In one angular position on the plug, the locking member prevents distortion of the plug and thereby prevents plug removal. In a second angular position on the plug, the locking member permits distortion of the plug upon pulling the pull tab, thereby permitting its removal from the dispensing opening. In other embodiments, the locking member can be completely removed from the plug to permit plug distortion and removal.

Safety closure cap

A safety closure cap capable of venting excess pressure within a container is disclosed. The safety closure cap is a unitary device made of a flexible material, constructed to seal a container having an orifice surrounded by an upstanding rim. The safety closure cap is comprised of a disc having a retaining lip; an annular ring which is parallel to the disc and connected thereto by a short annular wall; a pull tab connected to the periphery of the annular ring; a sealing skirt extending outwardly and downwardly from the annular ring which is adapted to substantially overlap the container rim; a venting channel adapted to vent gasses within the container which extends across the periphery of the annular wall from the retaining lip portion to the outer periphery of the annular ring, and two vertical gripping members disposed respectively on upper and lower surfaces of the pull tab.
