The present invention relates to a card edge connector having means so that a circuit card may be freely inserted into and withdrawn therefrom. The connector includes an upper housing slidably mounted on cam means so that upon the upper housing being slid vertically upwardly, contact elements extending upwardly thereinto are forced into the card receiving slot and against a card which may be positioned therein.

High density ZIF card edge connector

The present invention relates to zero insertion force card edge connectors with flexible film circuitry interconnecting the mother printed circuit board on which the connector is mounted and the daughter printed circuit card received in the connector. Actuation of cam means closes the connector and moves the circuit pads on the film up and down against the card circuit pads to provide wipe and back-wipe.

The present invention relates to zero insertion force card edge connectors with flexible film providing the interconnecting medium and with improvements to cam means so as to obtain accurate alignment and keying capabilities required in such high density connectors.

Card edge connector

The present invention relates to a single piece, stamped and formed electrical switch assembly which is intended to be mounted on a printed circuit board. More particularly, the switch assembly comprises a U-shaped member with one arm comprising an elongated cantilever spring blade and the other arm having means for mounting, and a detachable contact post attached to the one arm by a break-away strap. Additionally, means are included for holding the spring blade in a stationary open position during shipping, handling, mounting, and cleaning of the assembly.

Electrical switch assembly

A zero insertion force (ZIF) connector is preassembled with electrical terminals in a dielectric housing. The housing is molded with integral features that facilitate snap on assembly of a camming mechanism for the terminals. A multiblade insertion tool enters the housing to register with the contacts and to drive the terminals into apertures of a circuit board.
