The disclosed computer-implemented method may include discovering, by a computer processor and based on user information, that an identity of a user generating a live broadcast is enabled for dual streaming. The method may also include determining, by the computer processor and based at least in part on available network bandwidth, that the live broadcast is authorized for dual streaming. The method may further include transmitting separately, by the computer processor at least partly in response to the discovery and the determination, streams of the live broadcast to a plurality of different network nodes of a streaming platform. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Redundant video stream generation

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include (1) receiving a media stream, (2) determining a first priority level for the media stream, (3) generating one or more first encoded segments from a first segment of the media stream based on the first priority level, (4) determining, while generating the one or more first encoded segments, a second priority level for the media stream, the second priority level being different than the first priority level, (5) generating one or more second encoded segments from a second segment of the media stream based on the second priority level, and (6) streaming the one or more first encoded segments and the one or more second encoded segments to one or more client devices. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Systems and methods for dynamically encoding media streams

Licenses to software services are assigned automatically to users as a function of one or more user attributes. An attribute can include membership in a group such as a license group or a security group, among other things such as location. License assignments can also be retracted automatically upon changes in one or more user attributes.

Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to synchronizing data. In aspects, properties are synchronized from an organization property store to a cloud property store and/or vice versa. The list of properties to synchronize may change based on the cloud services to which the organization subscribes, changes to the cloud services, or for other reasons. Furthermore, the list of properties to synchronize may be limited to certain objects of the organization which may also change over time.

Synchronizing local and remote data

Embodiments of the invention are disclosed for establishing single identity/single-sign on (SSO) on a cloud computing platform. In an embodiment, a user is validated to the cloud computing platform, and identifies a domain. After establishing that the user has control of the domain, the cloud computing platform configures a directory service for the domain. The user may then use the directory service on the cloud computing platform to log in to his or her computer, as well as software services hosted on the cloud computing platform.

Identity services for organizations transparently hosted in the cloud

A system provides redundant telephone call processing. A gateway receives a call and identifies a first server as having primary responsibility for servicing the call and a second server as having secondary responsibility for servicing the call. The gateway communicates the call to both the first server and the second server. The first server initiates recording of a voice message. The first server and the second server record the voice message. If the first server fails to indicate it has completed and stored the voice message in a timely manner, the second server stores the recorded voice message.

Fully redundant call recording

A Unified Messaging (UM) gateway device located at a branch office of a UM system manages calls if the network connecting the branch office to a UM server of the UM system is unavailable. The UM gateway device contains relatively simple hardware and software as compared to the hardware and software of a UM server. The UM gateway device provides call answering functionality, in the absence of the UM server. In various configurations, the UM gateway device provides access to mailboxes, manages incoming calls, provides an outgoing message (e.g., an announcement or prompt), provides an indication where the called-for person can be reached, and, when the network becomes available, returns management of incoming calls to the UM server and/or handles incoming calls in conjunction with the Unified Messaging server.
