A transmission includes an input assembly, an electric machine, a variator and a power shift assembly. The input assembly has directional clutches and is configured to receive rotational engine power. The variator has only a single planetary set configured to selectively receive rotational power from the electric machine and from the input assembly. The power shift assembly is configured to receive rotational power from the variator. Power shift clutches are configured to dissipate energy from asynchronous gear meshing and include a first power shift clutch carried by a first countershaft and a second power shift clutch carried by a second countershaft. The power shift assembly is configured to effect multiple different rotational power flows to effect unique gear ratios.

Electronically-variable, dual-path power shift transmission for work vehicles

A system for providing resonance damping is disclosed. The system comprises a power generation circuit arranged to supply power to a direct current (DC) bus. The DC bus comprises a first link conductor and a second link conductor arranged such that a current induced in either of the conductors generates a magnetic field having a plurality of magnetic flux lines that extend in a direction generally perpendicular to a first direction of current flow. At least one electronic circuit is coupled to the DC bus. A damping element is coupled to or arranged proximate the first link conductor and the second link conductor of the DC bus, and is arranged such that the plurality of magnetic flux lines induces a plurality of eddy currents having a second direction of current flow in at least one surface of the damping element to provide resonance damping of the system.

A power limiting system for multiple electric motors includes an electrical power generating component, such as an alternator, and a plurality of motor controllers connected to an electrical bus. Each motor controller compares the voltage on the bus to a specified minimum voltage and a specified maximum voltage, and reduces its electric power output if the voltage on the bus is less than the maximum voltage while continuing to operate the electric motors.

The reel motor can rotate in a forward direction and a reverse direction. A controller provides electric signals to the reel motor, and commands the motor to reverse direction if the reel motor does not rotate in the forward direction at a rotational speed at least as high as a preset minimum speed, or rotate a pre-specified number of revolutions.

A method and system for reducing noise associated with an internal combustion engine comprises operating an engine at an initial speed. An exhaust system has a resonant cavity to attenuate exhaust noise. A microphone detects a sound level at or near an exhaust system of the engine operated the initial speed. A controller controls or adjusts the initial speed to a revised speed if the detected sound level does not meet or fall below a desired sound level.
