A vehicle seat includes a pivotable backrest, a locking/unlocking mechanism and an adjustment mechanism. The backrest is counterbalanced such that torque produced by the weight of the backrest during pivoting is adjustable by a counter torque.

Foldable vehicle seat

A transmission device, in particular for the adjuster of a vehicle seat, is suitable for converting a linear driving motion into a rotary output motion. According to an exemplary embodiment, the device has at least one lever that extends radially relative to a driven axis and is connected thereto. The at least one lever has a free end that interacts with an inclined surface that is moveable in a substantially linear manner in the direction of a driven shaft.

Seat adjuster

A fixture for covering a gap between a reclinable back rest and a lower seat part of a motor vehicle. A flat flexible cover element is coupled to the lower seat part and the back rest, wherein the cover element is guided through a slit-shaped guide opening in the back rest, and is suspended inside the back rest via tension spring means.
