One or more example embodiments relates to a computer-implemented a method for providing a label of a body part on an X-ray image, comprising receiving input data, wherein the input data is based on a red, green and blue (RGB) image of the body part, a depth image of the body part and an X-ray image of the body part; applying at least one trained function to the input data to generate output data, wherein the output data is the label of the body part, the label indicating a right body part or a left body part; and providing the output data.

A method for positioning a body region of a patient for a radiography acquisition by a radiography system includes providing an examination requirement for the body region, pre-positioning the body region in the radiography system for the radiography acquisition, pre-positioning an acquisition unit of the radiography system for the radiography acquisition, producing a three-dimensional positioning acquisition of the body region using a 3D camera system, and producing a preview image from the three-dimensional positioning acquisition. A patient model is generated from the three-dimensional positioning acquisition and the preview image is produced from the patient model, and the preview image depicts a representation as if made using the acquisition unit of the radiography system. The method further includes outputting at least one of the preview image and positioning information based on the preview image. A method automatically evaluates x-ray image data from an examination region of a patient. X-ray image data is received from the examination region. Furthermore x-ray image data is segmented and anatomical structures are detected in the individual segments. In addition reference image data that comes closest to the segmented x-ray image data is determined. This process is undertaken on the basis of a comparison of the segmented x-ray image data with reference image data from a reference database. The reference image data of the reference database has quality information relating to the image quality of the reference image data in each case. Finally a decision is made on the basis of the quality information of the established reference image data as to whether the received x-ray image data is to be retained or rejected.

A combination radiography and fluoroscopy system includes in one embodiment a radiography radiation generator and radiography radiation receiver, a fluoroscopy radiation generator and fluoroscopy radiation receiver, and a single computer system connected to receive signals from the radiography radiation receiver and fluoroscopy radiation receiver. The single computer system includes signal processing paths for the radiography signal and for the fluoroscopy signal wherein some processes or modules are common between the paths and some are path specific. An alternative uses a single radiation receiver for both radiography and fluoroscopy, along with the single computer system Another alternative provides for separate computers for signal processing of the radiography and fluoroscopy signals, the two computers running substantially identical signal processing programs.

Combined image processing computer for medical diagnostics in the fields of radiography and fluoroscopy

A method is for testing the quality of a detector module for an x-ray computer tomograph. In order to achieve a quality test of detector modules, it is proposed in at least one embodiment, to fit a holding device with at least one reference detector module and with the detector module to be tested, and subsequently to evaluate both the reference signals supplied by the reference detector module and the test signals supplied by the detector module to be tested.
