The disclosure pertains to the increasing the amount of stimulated efficiency and production from a given well area by determining a number of diverter slugs and the timing for the injection of the slugs for the given well area. A number of data sets are determined using Monte Carlo analysis, each data set including a quantity of diversion slugs and the timing for the injection of the diversion slugs. A simulation is performed on a plurality of the data sets to determine the production outcome of employing the data set in a stimulation job. The results of the simulation are used to determine the optimized data set for the stimulation job.

Systems and methods for optimization of the number of diverter injections and the timing of the diverter injections relative to stimulant injection

The disclosure pertains to the determining the efficiency of stimulation operations in a hydrocarbon well. Stimulation is performed in a hydrocarbon well and various data is obtained therefrom. The data is used to develop a simulation of fluid flow in the well and the simulation is used to model a synthetic tracer log, which corresponds to a modeled level of efficiency. Numerous synthetic tracer logs may be generated in this way so that tracer logs are available for a variety of different stimulation efficiencies. In order to determine the efficiency of an actual stimulation, the real tracer log of the stimulated well may be compared to the synthetic tracer logs in search of a match. When the real tracer log matches a synthetic tracer log the modeled efficiency of the synthetic log may be used as the actual or true efficiency of the real well stimulation.

Systems and methods for evaluating and optimizing stimulation efficiency using diverters

The disclosure pertains to the design and implementation of a diversion procedure for geologic openings. Embodiments involve performing a screening analysis to determine if a well or formation is appropriate for stimulation. If a well is appropriate, a modeling analysis is performed to determine candidate parameters for a diversion procedure. The analysis is divided into two segments, a dry analysis of jamming and a wet and full-physics-based analysis of plugging. The jamming analysis provides candidates to the plugging analysis to reduce the work of the more intensive wet full-physics modeling.

Methods and system for creating high conductivity fractures

Compositions include (1) aggregating compositions capable of forming deformable partial or complete coatings on formation surfaces, formation particle surfaces, downhole fluid solid surfaces, and/or proppant surfaces, where the coatings increase aggregation and/or agglomeration propensities of the particles and surfaces to form particles clusters or pillars having deformable coatings, and (2) aggregation stabilizing and/or strengthening compositions capable of altering properties of the coated clusters or pillars to form consolidated, stabilized, and/or strengthened clusters or pillars. Method to consolidate solid materials during subterranean treatment operations

Methods include the injection of a gelled, gelling or gellable composition into a horizontal section of a well at a location, where produced well gases or a combination of well gases and injected gases are sufficient to move the pill through the horizontal section into heal section, sweeping the horizontal section of accumulated liquids. Once in the heal section, the pill and the accumulated liquids are uplifted to the surface resulting in a cleaned well.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for forming in-situ gel pills to lift liquids from horizontal wells

Anti-accretion additives utilize silicone chemistry to prevent bituminous and heavy oil materials from sticking to metals surfaces such as drill bits, drillstring, casing and the like. Organopolysiloxanes and/or copolymers thereof are added directly to an aqueous drilling fluid or are first diluted in a solvent for adding to the drilling fluid. Further, an alkyl polyalkylene oxide may also be added. If a silicone oil is used as the solvent, the anti-accretion additive has the increased functionality of minimizing the amount of bituminous or heavy oil material which is retained in the drilling fluid when returned to surface and permits removal of the bituminous or heavy oil materials with the solids using conventional solids control equipment.

A substantially liquid gellant formed as one or more reaction products of a metal carboxylate or metal carboxylate amine salt, one or more organic acids, an ester which drives the reaction so that the reaction products are asymmetrical in structure, and a rheology modifier which preferentially interacts between the reaction products for prevent solidifying of the gellant reaction products until such time as the gellant is mixed with the fracturing fluid containing an activator after which the reaction products preferentially interact with the activator to gel the fracturing fluid. The resulting gellant is capable of gelling a hydrocarbon base fluid in less than about 30 seconds.

A clay stabilizer which is capable of inhibiting swelling in a wide variety of clay types and is also capable of restoring permeability in formations which have previously been damaged by clay swelling. Amine salts of differing molecular weights configurations and ionic strength are combined to provide transport into micropores, mesopores and macropores in the formation and to effect cationic change therein. A poly quaternary amine having a high to very high charge density is added along with lower molecular weight amine salts to substantially permanently exchange cations with the clay in the formation.

Clay control additive for wellbore fluids

An acidizing formulation for use in the stimulation of hydrocarbon production is stable when packaged and stored as a single fluid for periods exceeding one year. The formulation contains a miscibility solvent which substantially prevents any phase separation between the constituents and lack of dispersion of the additives in the fluid.

A method of recovering hydrocarbon or synthetic base oils from used oil-based drilling mud utilizes acid to deactivate emulsifiers in the drilling mud for altering the emulsion stability and permitting removal of the solids contained in the drilling mud using conventional separation such as centrifugation. A surfactant is typically added to prevent water-wetting as a result of the addition of the acid. The recovered base oil contains substantially all of the deactivated emulsifiers, which can be reactivated through the addition of lime, allowing new drilling fluids to be prepared without the need to add significant amounts of emulsifier to the recycled base oil.
