A work vehicle includes a plurality of vehicle drivetrain components, a plurality of state sensors and a variable flow conditioning hydraulic fluid source. A control manifold includes a plurality of control valves to control flow of conditioning hydraulic fluid to the plurality of drivetrain components to lubricate and cool the drivetrain components. A controller receives the state signals and is configured to selectively open one or more of the control valves at least in part in response to the one or more of the state signals to provide flow of conditioning hydraulic fluid to lubricate and cool any of the drivetrain components which are in an active operating state and to close one or more of the control valves to reduce or prevent flow of conditioning hydraulic fluid to any of the drivetrain components which are not in an active operating state.

Active lubrication strategy

A hydraulic system of a work vehicle includes a recirculation valve which may be closed during a warm-up mode of operation so that conditioning hydraulic fluid from a conditioning hydraulic fluid pump flows through a high pressure relief valve to a conditioning hydraulic fluid reservoir and recirculates from the conditioning hydraulic fluid reservoir back to the conditioning hydraulic fluid pump. Subsequent to the warm-up mode of operation, the recirculation valve may be opened so that conditioning hydraulic fluid from the conditioning hydraulic fluid pump flows through a low pressure relief valve to a main hydraulic fluid reservoir.

Warm-up oil management strategy

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a transmission variator. The variator receives input power from at least two power sources and provides variable speed output power paths for the transmission. A variator clutch assembly transfers input power to a variator shaft, which drives a planetary gear assembly, including a sun drive gear, planetary gears, and one or more ring gears. The ring gear(s) provide output power to a high output and low output gear assembly. A double reverse tapered spline between the sun drive gear and sun gear to provide forward thrust on the sun gear. A lubrication pin in the planetary gears can provide pressurized lubrication to the planetary gear assembly. A ring gear retention key can be disposed in a spur gear of the high output gear assembly, and ride in a groove in the underside of the ring gear to provide for alignment.

Variator and variator shaft

A sealing system for multiple fluids includes a transmission housing having a first port and a first opening, an electronic component connected to the transmission housing forming a vent space between the electronic component and the transmission housing, and a seal positioned between the electronic component and the transmission housing. The electronic component includes a first conduit. The seal includes an outer loop maintaining a first fluid outside of the outer loop. The seal includes a first inner loop surrounding the first conduit and positioned inside of the outer loop. The first inner loop maintains a second fluid inside the first inner loop. The first port is in fluid communication with the first conduit. The first opening is positioned inside of the outer loop and outside of the first inner loop. The first opening is in fluid communication with the vent space.

Sealing system for multiple fluids

A retaining apparatus includes a barrier having an interior surface defining an aperture extending from a first end of the barrier to a second end of the barrier. The retaining apparatus has a first distance between opposing sides of the interior surface near the first end of the barrier, a second distance between the opposing sides of the interior surface at a position between the first and second ends of the barrier, and a third distance between the opposing sides of the interior surface at the second end of the barrier. The second distance is smaller than the first and third distances. The interior surface is configured to partially surround and support a work line, restricting movement of the work line in a transverse direction, allowing movement of the work line in a longitudinal direction, and allowing bending of the work line about an axis in the transverse direction.

Retention apparatus

A multi-mode CVT for a work vehicle powertrain has a continuously variable power source (CVP), an input arrangement with an input shaft receiving engine power, a variator arrangement with a variator shaft supporting a planetary set, a drop set arrangement with a drop set shaft, and an output arrangement with an output shaft supporting an output component. The input, variator, and drop set arrangements include clutch components with the clutch(es) of the drop set arrangement transmitting CVP power or combined CVP and engine power to the output arrangement to provide a selective gear reduction for transmission of an output power according to a plurality of transmission modes, including a CVP-only mode and a combined engine and CVP split-path mode.

Multi-mode continuously variable transmission assembly with drop set arrangement

A method for spin set bearing setting verification in a preload state on a shaft. An inertia wheel may be disposed on the shaft. The inertia wheel or the shaft is rotated. A first rotational speed is measured at a first time. The inertia wheel may decelerate over time to achieve a second rotational speed measured at a second time. The second speed is less than first speed. The change in time between the first time and the second time is measured. The bearing setting may be adjusted if the change in time is outside a predetermined time range. The bearing setting may remain unchanged if the change in time is within a predetermined time range.

Spin-set bearing setting verification method

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a clutch configuration and/or clutch operation. The clutch configuration includes an arrangement having a transmission input shaft having a conduit therethrough and a rotating clutch drum configured to rotatably couple to the transmission input shaft and operate independent of the transmission input shaft. The rotating clutch drum has a conduit complementary to the conduit of the transmission input shaft. The clutch arrangement further includes a bearing spacer between the transmission input shaft and the rotating clutch drum, wherein the bearing spacer has a conduit complementary to the conduit of the transmission input shaft and the conduit of the rotating clutch drum. The conduits of the bearing spacer, the transmission input shaft, and the rotating clutch drum define a clutch apply pressure path to control actuation of the rotating clutch drum.

Clutch for transmission assembly

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a transmission that provide power to a front axle, and fits in taller box to provide more room for the transmission. The transmission can comprise a front input shaft that receives rotational power from an engine. A front output shaft is coupled with a front axle to provide the rotational power, conditioned by the transmission, to the front axle. A rear riser gear set can be couple to the rear of the transmission to provide power from the bottom portion of the transmission to a bevel gear set that couples with, and provide rotational power to, a rear axle. In this way, the space between a rear axle centerline and front axle center line can be used by the transmission, allowing for a taller transmission to fit in the chassis.

Drop-box transmission in a reduced space

A hitch that connects to a chassis of the work vehicle and rotates with respect to the chassis includes a first bracket connected to a first portion of the chassis, a first stabilizer bar connected to the first bracket, and a first hitch arm connected to the first stabilizer bar. The first hitch arm has a free end that engages a work implement. A second bracket is connected to a second portion of the chassis. The second portion of the chassis is spaced from the first portion of the chassis, so that the second bracket is spaced apart from and independent of the first bracket. A second stabilizer bar is connected to the second bracket. A second hitch arm is connected to the first stabilizer bar. The second hitch has a free end configured to selectively engage the work implement.

A transmission subassembly for a working vehicle includes an engageable front wheel drive, a transmission housing, a clutch module, and a hydraulic module. The hydraulic module is received between the clutch module and the transmission housing.

Transmission subassembly, clutch module and vehicle

An electric machine including a distributed cooling system is disclosed. The electric machine includes a housing, a stator assembly, a rotor assembly, and a distributed cooling system. The distributed cooling system comprising at least one inlet, a first passage, a second passage, and a third passage. The first passage extending axially in a first direction through at least a portion of the rotor shaft to direct a flow of coolant in the first direction. A second passage fluidly coupled to the first passage extending in a second direction through at least a portion of the rotor shaft between a receiving end and a distributing end. At least one third passage fluidly coupled to the second passage extending between a first end and a second end and distributes coolant received from the second passage to at least one of the first end or the second end into the stator assembly.

Electric machine distributed cooling system and method

Overload protection systems and methods are provided for controlling the amount of energy delivered to the drivetrain of work vehicles including axles, transmission, and other components thereof including for vehicles using power boost. A sensor in operative communication with a primary power equipment unit driving a transmission of a work vehicle generates a torque signal representative of torque delivered to the transmission by the primary power equipment unit. The overload protection method and system uses the torque signal to control the torque delivered to the transmission of a work vehicle by the primary power equipment unit.

Drivetrain overload protection for work vehicles using power boost

A method of hot drop fastening components and a product thereby made is described. Machine components are provided. A first machine component defines a passageway and carries a coating. The first machine component is caused to expand by delivering a predetermined amount of energy to the first machine component, wherein the predetermined amount of energy is based on a property of the coating. A second machine component is inserted into the passageway of the expanded first machine component. Thereafter, the first machine component is permitted to cool with the first machine component inserted in the passageway thereby fastening the first machine component with the second machine component by the first machine component contracting as it cools. Properties such as adhesion and/or rust prevention properties of a primer coating in a motor manufactured using a hot drop process are preserved during the hot drop process in the manufactured product.
