An internally-constructed permissions graph database enabling a user to construct and alter the graph database permissions within the graph database. Edge permissions define whether a one node can View, Edit, or Manage another node. A node can view another node if there is at least one edge path connecting the nodes having a 'View' permission. Similarly, a node can “Edit” or “Manage” another node if there is at least one edge path connecting the nodes having allowing “Edit” and/or “Manage” permissions, respectively. If a contiguous path of permission edges does not exist from the “caller node” to the “requested node” to be acted upon, then permission to perform the desired action or operation on that node is not granted. Edges have permissions, and Nodes have properties. A “Caller Node” makes Requests upon and “Requested Node,” which are limited by edge permissions.

Permissions—enforced graph database

A system and a method are described for monitoring a medical care environment. In one or more implementations, a method includes identifying a first subset of pixels within a field of view of a camera as representing a bed. The method also includes identifying a second subset of pixels within the field of view of the camera as representing an object (e.g., a subject, such as a patient, medical personnel; bed; chair; patient tray; medical equipment; etc.) proximal to the bed. The method also includes determining an orientation of the object within the bed.

Medical environment monitoring system

A system and a method are described for preventing pressure ulcers in a medical care environment by monitoring adherence to a pressure ulcer prevention protocol. The method also includes identifying a first subset of pixels from the plurality of potential locations as representing a bed and/or a seating platform. The method also includes identifying a second subset of pixels within the field of view of the camera as representing an object (e.g., a subject, such as a patient, medical personnel; bed; chair; patient tray; medical equipment; etc.) proximal to the bed and/or seating platform. The method also includes determining an orientation of the object with respect to the bed and/or seating platform, and determining changes in the orientation and/or position of the object over a period of time. In implementations, the method further includes issuing an electronic communication alert based upon the determined orientation and/or position of the object over the period of time.

Medical environment bedsore detection and prevention system

A system and a method are described for identifying (e.g., parsing images) images pertaining to an event. The method also includes identifying a first subset of pixels from the plurality of potential locations as representing a bed and/or a seating platform. The method also includes identifying a second subset of pixels within the field of view of the camera as representing an object proximal to the bed and/or seating platform. The method also includes determining an orientation of the object with respect to the bed and/or seating platform, and determining changes in the orientation and/or position of the object over a period of time. In implementations, the method further includes generating state data pertaining to an event and associating the state data with corresponding image frame data.

Medical environment event parsing system

A system and a method are described for monitoring a medical care environment. In one or more implementations, a method includes identifying a first subset of pixels within a field of view of a camera as representing a bed. The method also includes identifying a second subset of pixels within the field of view of the camera as representing an object (e.g., a subject, such as a patient, medical personnel; bed; chair; patient tray; medical equipment; etc.) proximal to the bed. The method also includes determining an orientation of the object within the bed. In implementations, the method further includes issuing an electronic communication alert based upon the orientation of the object, and determining whether to issue future alerts based upon feedback to the alert.

The method also includes determining an orientation of the object with respect to the bed and/or seating platform. In implementations, the method further includes issuing an electronic communication alert based upon the orientation of the object.

An approach is provided for allowing a network computing (e.g., cloud computing) infrastructure to modify its resource allocation plan (e.g., an instance count) by using a Kth derivative vector plot, which may be generated using historical logs. Among other things, this approach enables an infrastructure to project an allocation forecast for a specified duration and adapt to changes in network traffic.
