An agricultural combine having at least one loss sensor associated with a threshing and separating system, a processing device, and a user interface. The processor is configured to collect geographical position readings, operating parameter settings, and loss data readings. The operating parameter settings and loss data readings are associated with the position readings. The processor generates a display at the user interface illustrating a geographical map including at least a portion of the plurality of position readings. The geographical map graphically indicates each loss data reading associated with each position reading illustrated on the geographical map at that position reading's respective location on the geographical map. A system and method for evaluating the performance of an agricultural combine are also provided.

An agricultural harvester has a chassis carrying a header for gathering a crop. The header is removably attached to a feeder housing for feeding the crop into the agricultural harvester to be processed. A threshing and separating system is connected to the feeder housing for separating grain from Material Other than Grain (MOG). A grain cleaning system is connected to the threshing and separating system for further cleaning the separated grain. The grain cleaning system has at least one sieve operable to oscillate fore and aft and a side shaker mechanism operable to produce a side to side shaking motion in the at least one sieve. A control system is connected to the side shaker mechanism and operable to automatically proportionately increase an amount of the side to side shaking motion as a function of an amount and type of crop being processed.

A spreader arrangement for an agricultural harvester includes a frame, a pair of spreader discs carried by the frame, and a material deflector. The spreader discs are generally horizontally arranged and rotatable in a counter rotating manner. The material deflector includes at least one deflector arm and a vertical pivoting mechanism interconnecting the at least one deflector arm with the frame.

An agricultural harvester includes a chassis, a threshing and separating system for separating grain from MOG, and a grain cleaning system for further separating grain from residual MOG. The grain cleaning system has a main grain pan beneath the threshing and separating system with the grain pan having openings in its forward and to selectively receive grain from the forward portion of the threshing and separating system. A component beneath the main grain pan directs flow in parallel to the cleaning system either to a pre-sieve within the cleaning system or to an upper sieve.

An agricultural harvester includes an auger assembly including an auger having an auger shaft defining an axis of rotation and a fighting carried by the auger shaft, the auger being configured to rotate the fighting in a sweeping path about the axis of rotation and convey cleaned crop material toward the crop material elevator; an auger trough placed adjacent to the auger to hold crop material in the sweeping path; and an auger cover held above the sweeping path that is configured to direct flung crop material toward the auger and/or the auger trough.

An agricultural harvester with a crop processing apparatus. The crop processing apparatus is configured for separating crop material from crop residue and for discharging crop residue therefrom. The agricultural harvester includes a duct for directing a stream of crop residue downstream in the agricultural combine in a generally downward direction, a pair of laterally spaced spreader devices positioned downstream of and below the crop residue duct for distributing crop residue laterally, and deflectors spaced outwardly of the spreader devices and oriented generally in a vertical plane. The deflectors are mounted at a first upstream edge relative to the flow of the crop residue stream and extend downstream. The deflectors have an upper edge curved toward the spreader devices to an increasing extent away from the upstream edge.

An agricultural vehicle includes a chassis; a crop processing mechanism carried by the chassis and configured to separate crop material and discharge crop residue therefrom; and a residue handling system that receives separated crop material and discharged crop residue from the crop processing mechanism. The residue handling system includes at least one spreader device defining a spreader exit; a windrow exit; a straw door selectively positionable between a first position and a second position, the straw door directed toward the spreader exit in the first position and directed toward the windrow exit in the second position; and a flexible guide associated with the straw door and having a shape that deforms when the straw door switches between the first position and the second position.

A header for a combine harvester, the header including a frame mountable to a forward end of the combine harvester, at least one row unit mounted to the frame to receive and process stalks of corn, a stomping shoe mounted to the frame behind the row unit to flatten stalks of corn, and a stalk splitter mounted to frame behind the row unit to split stalks of corn. The face of the stomping shoe is provided with a plurality of structures to guide each stalk of corn along a predefined path on the face while the stalks of corn are flattened. The stalk splitter includes a disk blade biased against the ground for splitting stalks of corn after they are processed by row units of the corn header.

An agricultural harvester includes a grain processing section having a sieve assembly. The sieve assembly includes right and left frames interconnected by a cross member. The cross member has end castings securable to the right and left frame members. An elongated U-shaped sheet metal member extends between the castings. An elongated slot at each of the U-shaped sheet metal member terminates in a circular hole. The slot and circular hole accommodate variations in forming tolerances for the U-shaped sheet member and dissipate stresses.

An agricultural harvester includes a grain processing section having a sieve. The sieve is driven in fore and aft oscillation while permitting side to side movement by a pair of cast members interconnected each having three mounting points. Two of the mounting points of the members are interconnected by flexible rubber bushings and the third mounting point of one of the members receives fore and aft oscillating movement and the third mounting point on the second of the members pivotally interconnects to the sieve to drive it into fore and aft oscillation while permitting side to side movement.

An agricultural harvester includes a grain processing section having a sieve assembly. The sieve assembly is connected to mechanism for producing a side to side oscillation by a single cast structural link having an input through slotted openings to the drive mechanism to accommodate misalignment. The link has vertical and horizontal flanges connected to a main body for interconnection between the right and left frames and structural supports interconnecting the right and left frames. The main body of the link extends through a slot in a rubber wall to accommodate the movement and seal against loss of grain.

An agricultural harvester has a chassis carrying a header removably attached to a feeder housing for gathering a type of crop and feeding it into the agricultural harvester. The feeder housing is connected to a threshing and separating system for separating grain from MOG, which leads to a grain cleaning system for cleaning the separated grain. The grain cleaning system has at least one sieve operable to oscillate fore and aft, and at least one cleaning fan. The grain cleaning system also has a side shaker mechanism operable to produce a side to side shaking motion. A control system is connected to the side shaker mechanism and is operable to automatically adjust the amount of side to side shaking motion on the basis of the type of crop and on the basis of the amount of side slope upon which the agricultural harvester is situated.

An agricultural vehicle includes a chassis; a threshing and separating assembly carried by the chassis; and a cleaning system carried by the chassis and configured to receive crop material that has passed through the threshing and separating assembly. The cleaning system includes a pan configured to receive crop material from the threshing and separating assembly on a pan surface and to shake in a fore-to-aft direction; at least one sieve located below the pan and configured to shake in fore-to-aft and lateral directions, the sieve including a sieve surface configured to receive crop material from the pan; and at least one divider associated with and extending at least 3 centimeters above at least one of the pan surface and the sieve surface.

A cleaning system for an agricultural combine harvester includes a sieve having a periphery and an interference member located at the periphery. A chaffer frame carries the sieve, and includes a clamp with a pair of spring fingers positioned on either side of the interference member, thereby retaining the sieve within the chaffer frame.
