An assistance system for a road vehicle which can be used on a roadway having one or more lanes, includes a position determination system for determining a lateral relative position of the road vehicle on the roadway. The position determination system has an electrical signal line disposed parallel to the roadway, a signal generator for generating and feeding an electrical signal into the signal line, resulting in a current flow which can be generated in the signal line, an on-vehicle sensor assembly for capturing a field strength and/or a field direction of an electromagnetic field forming about the signal line as a result of the current flow generated, and an on-vehicle evaluation unit, configured to determine, from the captured field strength and/or field direction, a lateral relative position of the road vehicle relative to the signal line. A more reliable position determination system is thus provided.

Assistance system for a road vehicle

A method for detecting faults on an electrical line includes feeding a measurement signal to a first location on the line by using a measuring assembly, receiving a reflected measurement signal at the first location, and determining a fault location on the line on the basis of the period of time until the reflected measurement signal is received while considering a line attenuation. A reflection location on the line where the measurement signal is reflected is used, and the line attenuation is determined on the basis of the level of the reflected measurement signal received at the first location. A corresponding measuring assembly is also provided.

Method and measuring assembly for detecting faults on electrical lines

The disclosure relates to a system for tracking the position of a target object. A marker arranged on the target object and an additional control marker are tracked by a tracking device secured to the robot arm. The control marker is arranged in a known specified three-dimensional positional relationship with the tracking device. During the tracking of the position of the target object, the specified three-dimensional positional relationship between the tracking device and the control marker is measured. In the event of a difference between the measured and the real specified three-dimensional positional relationship, a corresponding signal is generated depending on the difference.

An apparatus checks for a presence of an electrically conductive body in the near field of charging coils of an arrangement for induced charging. At least one transmitting device provides a transmission signal in the form of a magnetic field. At least one receiving device generates a reception signal from the transmission signal and induced into the receiving device. The transmitting device and the receiving device are formed in such a way that, when the electrically conductive body is present, a first reception signal forms and, when the electrically conductive body is absent, a second reception signal, different than the first, forms in the receiving device on account of the induced transmission signal. The transmitting device and the receiving device are formed in a manner dependent on the magnetic field of the charging coils in such a way that, when the electrically conductive body is absent, partial reception signals form in the receiving device on account of the induced transmission signal, where partial reception signals substantially cancel one another out in the reception signal.

Checking a presence of an electrically conductive body

A method for determining an arrangement of an electric vehicle relative to a charging point is provided. An alternating magnetic field is transmitted by a transmitting device arranged on the electric vehicle. The alternating magnetic field is received at a location of the charging point, and the arrangement is inferred based on the received alternating field. An arrangement determination unit is configured for use in a method of this type to determine the arrangement of the electric vehicle relative to the charging point using the received alternating field.

A method for emitting a sequence of high frequency pulses that may have different envelopes in a magnetic resonance tomography system is provided. A digital instruction signal that specifies the envelope for the high frequency pulses that are to be emitted is received. A digital control signal is transmitted to a high frequency unit for generating high frequency pulses, depending on the instruction signal. A test signal that allows notification of a current overload situation is received. The current control signal is reduced if the test signal indicates an overload situation.

An apparatus for checking for a presence of an electrically conductive body has at least one transmitting device and at least one receiving device. The transmitting device provides a transmission signal in the form of a magnetic field. The transmitting and receiving devices are configured in such a way that, when the electrically conductive body is absent, partial reception signals form in the receiving device on account of the induced transmission signal and the partial reception signals substantially cancel one another out in the reception signal.

A two-channel magnetic resonance tomography system is provided with a regulation circuit for an amplification system in order to be able to take into account different load situations of the MRI system in a flexible and efficient manner. It is thus possible to improve the MRI measurements greatly if the MRI system is set to the respective load situation beforehand by an idle state measurement. The adaptation may optionally also be carried out during the MRI measurement. Therefore, a multiplicity of completely different load situations may be taken into account in an optimized manner by the regulation circuit.

A method for the detection of at least one moving object in a pre-determined detection zone by way of a speed sensor. The method includes the following steps: determining a detection zone within an illumination region of the speed sensor; detecting a speed signal, particularly a Doppler signal, at least with the entry of a moving object into the illumination region; estimating an entry of the moving object into the detection zone on the basis of a speed of the object, and of a distance between a boundary of the illumination region and the detection zone.

An FMCW radar has a variable frequency microwave signal source for outputting a microwave signal, a frequency divider, a phase-locked loop, a loop filter and a reference signal source. The frequency divider is connected between the output of the variable frequency microwave signal source and an input of the phase-locked loop. The reference signal source is connected to an additional input of the phase-locked loop. The frequency divider is adjustable, in particular digitally adjustable. A method for operating an FMWC radar includes adjusting a variable frequency microwave signal source by way of a closed-loop control circuit which uses a reference signal of a reference signal source, especially of a quartz oscillator, as the reference value, and a frequency-divided output signal of the microwave signal source as the feedback value.
