A switch device for switching an electrical connection between two connection parts is disclosed. Conventional switch devices comprise a contact lever having a switch contact, the flow of current taking place by way of the contact lever when the switch device is closed. To achieve a rapid switching process, a low mass inertia of the contact lever is required. However, this generally leads to a lower current capacity. By arranging the lever-side switch contact on a separate electrical connection device, it becomes possible to separate the function of current conduction from the function of contact guidance. Since the contact lever therefore no longer performs any current-conducting function, it may be optimized in mechanical respects exclusively.

Switch

An arcing chamber system having one or more chamber bodies connected in series, wherein one or more arcing chamber modules, are arranged in each chamber body is present. A plurality of arcing chamber modules may be employed to achieve for various contact ratings. This allows the arcing chamber system of the present invention to be adapted, in simple fashion, to a variety of working voltages and a variety of contact ratings.

Electric arc explosion chamber system

The invention pertains to a contact lever for an electrical switch designed for automatic adjustment of the main contacts. During assembly the pivot shaft is inserted in an oblong opening in the contact lever. The switch position is changed from open to closed by rotating the contact lever on the pivot shaft. The pivot shaft includes two conically extending shoulders that correspond in shape to chamfers located at the edge of the oblong opening. The conical shoulders and chamfers comprise a portion of the bearing surface between the contact lever and the pivot shaft. A sliding bearing pair is formed during switch operation wherein the contact lever is limited to a centrally aligned position in the open position and allowed additional freedom of motion at the end of the closing operation. The additional freedom of motion allows for precise automatic contact alignment.
