An apparatus feeds a plurality of threads to rotating godets of a melt spinning machine including a manual injector (e.g., a main manual injector) and a cutting device. In order to be able to selectively feed the threads individually or as a bunch, a transfer device and a second manual injector (e.g., an auxiliary manual injector) are associated with the manual injector.

Apparatus for feeding a plurality of threads

The invention relates to a cooling drum for cooling a thread plug in texturing process. The cooling drum comprises a drivable cooling jacket, on the circumference of which at least one air-permeable guide track is designed for guiding the thread plug. A suction chamber is provided in the interior of the cooling jacket, which chamber is connected via a suction connection to a vacuum source. In this way, a stationary shielding means is provided, which is arranged between the cooling jacket and the suction chamber. In order to produce a suction flow which is as targeted as possible and affected by little loss, according to the invention, the shielding means is formed by a closed sealing jacket which is placed substantially coaxially spaced apart with the cooling jacket and has an air slot in the region of the guide track.

Cooling drum for cooling a thread plug

Techniques produce intertwining knots in a multifilament thread. In such techniques, an air stream pulse is generated by a nozzle channel opening into a treatment channel periodically with an interval between successive air stream pulses. During an interval, the air stream pulse is directed transversely onto the thread guided in the treatment channel so that a continuous sequence of intertwining knots is produced in the running thread. An auxiliary air stream is generated continuously or discontinuously and the auxiliary air stream and the air stream pulse are blown in together into the treatment channel.

Method and device for producing intertwining knots

An apparatus for producing entanglements on a multifilament thread, has a treatment channel, has a nozzle bore that opens into the treatment channel and has an air supply device. The air supply device interacts with the nozzle bore in order to produce pulse-like compressed-air flows, wherein the compressed air is produced via a pressure chamber and a pressure source. In order in particular to control the pressure pulses produced in the pressure chamber, a volume store is arranged between the pressure chamber and the pressure source, wherein the volume store has a storage volume which is greater than a chamber volume of the pressure chamber.

Apparatus for producing entanglements on a multifilament thread

A device treats a thread with compressed air. To this end, the device has an intermingling device which is encapsulated in a housing with respect to the environment. For thread guidance, the housing has a thread inlet and an opposite thread outlet. In order to prevent direct transmission of noise through the thread inlet and the thread outlet, the thread inlet and/or the thread outlet is formed in each case by two separate opening slots in quick succession and a thread guiding member between the opening slots.

Device for treating a thread

A method and an apparatus produces intertwining knots in a multifilament thread. In this case, an air-stream pulse is directed through a nozzle opening transversely onto the thread. In order to produce a continuous succession of intertwining knots, the air-stream pulse is produced periodically with an interval between the air-stream pulses. In order to be able to produce an irregular thread structure, the interval between successive air-stream pulses is continuously changed. To this end, the apparatus has a nozzle ring carrying the nozzle opening, the nozzle ring being coupled to a drive. The drive of the nozzle ring is assigned a control device, by way of which a rotary speed of the nozzle ring is controllable for the purpose of changing an interval between the air-stream pulses.

Method and apparatus for producing intertwined knots in a multifilament thread

A method and a device for crimping a multifilament thread are described. The thread is blown by means of a transport nozzle through a compressed air stream guided in a thread channel into a gas-permeable compression chamber. Inside the compression chamber, the thread is compressed to form a thread plug, which is then continuously removed through an outlet of the compression chamber. The compression and the removal of the thread plug are monitored by measuring the pressure of the compressed air stream. According to the invention, a plurality of pressures of the compressed air stream in the compression chamber are measured at a plurality of measurement points distributed over the length of the compression chamber for monitoring the thread plug formation in order to perform the compressing and cooling of the thread plug with a uniform filling of the compression chamber.

Method and device for crimping a multifilament thread

A crimping apparatus for crimping a filament bundle in a melt spinning process includes a conveyor nozzle and a stuffer box which is associated with the conveyor nozzle. For thermal processing, a processing unit, which includes a rotatable processing drum which, for guiding and temperature control of a thread plug, has a rotating drum wall, is disposed downstream of the stuffer box. In order to be able to carry out as gentle a processing of the thread plug as possible, the stuffer box is disposed axially parallel to the processing drum in such a manner that the thread plug can be infed in a straight run from a plug outlet of the stuffer box to the circumference of the drum wall. This allows the naturally acting weight force of the thread plug to be advantageously used for guiding the thread plug.

Crimping apparatus

An apparatus for continuously winding up a thread is described and includes two winding spindles that are held in a projecting manner on a rotary table and are associated with spindle drives to allow the thread to be alternately wound to form a bobbin. The rotary table can be activated in order to exchange the winding spindles between a winding region and a changing region. A moveable changing device transfers the thread between the winding spindles and during the exchange of the winding spindles, guides the thread between the winding spindles for transferring to a catching device on one of the winding spindles. The changing device has at least one deflecting thread guide and a movable feeding thread guide, which can be positioned in a deflecting position, the thread being guided at a distance from the winding spindle which receives the thread.

Apparatus for continuously winding up a thread

A method and a device for producing a crimped multifilament thread are described. A multiplicity of filaments are extruded by means of a spinning machine, cooled and subsequently treated by a drawing device and a crimping device to form a crimped thread. Before the thread is wound up to form a bobbin, a multiplicity of intertwining knots is produced on the crimped thread by a treatment device. In order to obtain defined patterns of the intertwining knots within the thread, a pulse sequence of compressed air pulses at a predefined frequency is directed at the thread. The treatment device has a controllable blowing means.

Method and device for producing a crimped multifilament thread

The invention relates to a process for melt-spinning, drawing and winding multiple synthetic threads and to an apparatus for performing the process. The synthetic threads are spun concurrently side by side through extrusion of fine filamentous strands, cooled down and hauled off to be then collectively drawn as a sheet of threads and wound up on bobbins. To obtain ideally identical physical properties in the collective treatment of the threads, the threads are hauled off independently of each other by separate individual godets after extrusion and before collective drawing. This makes it possible to realize for each thread the same conditions during extrusion, cooling and hauling off. The apparatus includes multiple individual godets arranged side by side, which are arranged upstream of the drawing facility and are each associated with one of the threads. To pull off the threads, the individual godets are configured to be individually driveable.

Apparatus for melt-spinning, drawing and winding multiple synthetic threads

A device for producing intertwining knots in a multifilament thread has a rotating nozzle ring with an encircling guide groove on an outer casing and an encircling sealing surface on an inner casing. At least one nozzle bore opens radially into the guide groove and passes through the nozzle ring. The nozzle ring is guided on a stator that has an encircling sliding surface on its periphery for guiding the nozzle ring and that forms a pressure chamber having a chamber opening that opens into the sliding surface. The sealing surface of the nozzle ring interacts with the sliding surface of the stator in order to provide air sealing. The nozzle ring is formed in a pot-like manner with an end wall having a disc-like end sealing surface which interacts with an end sliding surface formed on an end side of the stator to provide air sealing.

Device for producing intertwining knots

A device for winding up a thread is described. The device has at least one spool spindle that can be driven and includes a spool housing with a thread catching device associated with the spool housing. The spool spindle is associated with a changing device for guiding the thread back and forth and an auxiliary device for guiding the thread when catching and laying down the thread. The auxiliary device includes at least one moveable metal guide having a guide edge or a guide groove for guiding the thread, such that the moveable guide can be guided between a transfer position in the area of the changing device and a parking position to the side next to the changing device. A stationary pin thread guide may be associated with the moveable guide in the parking position.

Device for winding up a thread

A device for producing interlaced knots in a multifilament thread is described. The device includes a rotating nozzle ring having a circumferential guide groove and a plurality of nozzle bores opening radially into the base of the guide groove. A stationary pressure chamber, having a chamber opening and an air connection, is associated with the nozzle ring, wherein by rotation of the nozzle ring the nozzle bores can be connected in turn to the chamber opening of the pressure chamber. To permit an intensive air treatment of the thread, the dimension of the chamber opening in the pressure chamber and the spacing of adjacent nozzle bores on the nozzle ring are designed such that as the nozzle ring rotates a plurality of nozzle bores are simultaneously connected to the chamber opening.

Device for producing interlaced knots

A bobbin holder for tensioning a bobbin tube and receiving a wound thread bobbin is presented. The bobbin holder includes a rotatable drive shaft that is connected to a drive with a bearing end thereof and that has a tensioning device for tensioning a bobbin tube on a tensioning end. The tensioning device includes a plurality of bobbin tubes on the periphery of the drive shaft and interposed tensioning rings. A tensioning piston guided on the free end of the drive shaft acts upon at least one of the bobbin tubes to deform the tensioning rings. In order to allow the use of high fatigue strength materials for the tensioning ring, the tensioning ring includes a continuous separating slot on the periphery, which extends between two opposite ring ends of the tensioning ring, deformation being essentially achieved by an expansion of the tensioning ring.
