The invention relates to a turbine (), in particular of an exhaust gas turbocharger, having a turbine rotor (), which is rotatably mounted in a housing (), with which at least one radial inlet channel () for a guide apparatus () forming a medium which drives the turbine rotor () is associated, wherein said guide apparatus () has multiple guide vane bearing rings (), which radially enclose said turbine rotor () and have guide vanes () which lie in said inlet channel (), and a guide vane cover ring (), and wherein said inlet channel () is axially delimited by said guide vane bearing ring () and said guide vane cover ring () and said guide apparatus () is mounted in the housing () so it is axially and/or radially movable for material relaxation. A turbocharger, comprising: at least one of a turbine housing, a bearing housing and a turbine wheel, wherein the turbine wheel is rotatably mounted about an axis and includes a guide apparatus with a plurality of guide vanes rotatably mounted in pivot bearings on a guide vane support, wherein the guide vanes influence the flow in a flow channel of the turbine housing; and a spring element, which moveably loads the guide apparatus in an axial direction against a wall of the turbine housing, and wherein the disc springs seal a displacement chamber provided with a displacement mechanism of the guide apparatus against the flow channel.

The inlet channel is axially delimited by the guide vane bearing ring and the guide vane cover ring wherein the guide vane bearing ring and the guide vane cover ring are moveably mounted at least one of axially and radially relative to each other and to the housing. The guide apparatus is subjected to at least one of an axial and radial preload, wherein a line of axial preload flux runs through the guide apparatus substantially parallel to the rotational axis of the turbine rotor.

The invention relates to a turbine, in particular of an exhaust-gas turbocharger, comprising a turbine rotor which is supported rotatable in a housing, and to which at least one guide vane apparatus forming a radial inlet channel for a medium driving the turbine rotor is allocated, wherein the guide vane apparatus comprises a guide vane mounting ring with a plurality of guide vanes which radially surround the turbine rotor and which are located within the inlet channel, as well as a guide vane cover ring, and wherein the inlet channel is axially bounded by the guide vane mounting ring and the guide vane cover ring, and the guide vane cover ring abuts with a front side facing away from the inlet channel against a support area of the housing. The invention provides that the housing () comprises in the support area () at least one recess () which is open-edged towards the guide vane cover ring (), and through which the medium can flow. Furthermore, the invention relates to an exhaust-gas turbocharger, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a compressor and a turbine which are actively connected with each other in a mechanical manner.
