Examples are disclosed for systems and methods for providing an automated light show synchronized to one or more music files. In one embodiment, a method comprises generating a music feature file based on selected audio, the music feature file comprising metadata for the selected audio including a plurality of time markers indicating audio events in the selected audio, and automatically controlling one or more lights according to the music feature file. In another embodiment, other approaches and systems are provided to improve a light show or to provide structures and processed files which can be used to improve a light show or provide other features.

An illumination device includes a plurality of light sources arranged in at least a first group of light sources having one or more light sources and a second group of light sources having one or more light sources and further includes one or more light collectors, each being arranged for collecting light from one or more light sources from the first group of light sources and for converting the collected light into one or more light beams. The first and second groups of light sources are each individually controllable. The first and second groups of light sources are both arranged for emitting light from a space on one side of the one or more light collectors. The illumination device is arranged so that light emitted from the second group of light sources through the one or more light collectors defines a pattern comprising one or more elongated elements.

The present invention relates to a light fixture comprising at least one light source generating light; a light collector configured to collect at least a part of the light and to convert the light into a light beam propagating a long an optical axis, where the light beam is concentrated at an optical gate arranged along the optical axis and an optical assembly comprising at least one optical front lens. An iris diaphragm comprises a stationary ring, a rotatable adjusting ring, and a plurality of shutter blades. The plurality of shutter blades forms a diaphragm aperture inside the stationary ring and rotation of the adjusting ring moves the shutter blades inside the stationary ring whereby the size of the diaphragm aperture can be changed. The shutter blades are formed as a flat opaque surface and at least one of the shutter blades comprises at least one transparent region formed in said opaque surface. A light fixture comprises such iris diaphragm arranged between a light source generating a light beam and an optical assembly configured to project the light beam along an optical axis.

The present invention relates to a light fixture comprising at least one light source generating light; a light collector configured to collect at least a part of the light and to convert the light into a light beam propagating a long an optical axis, where the light beam is concentrated at an optical gate arranged along the optical axis and an optical assembly comprising at least one optical front lens. The various embodiments relate to a LED strobe lighting fixture comprising a plurality of LEDs arranged in a linear array and which is configured to generate a strobe light effect. The light fixture comprises a central illumination LED array arranged between a first optical reflector and a second optical reflector. At a least one LED pixel array is configured to illuminate at least one of said first optical reflector and said second optical reflector. In one embodiment the LED pixels are configured to illuminate different parts of said first optical reflector or of said second optical reflector.

An illumination device with a number of light sources arranged in at least two groups of light sources that are individually controllable. The first group of light sources () have light collectors () such as internal reflection (TIR) lenses, mixers or other lenses placed over them to collect and convert light of the light sources into a number of light source beams. The second group of light sources () pass light through diffusing areas () of a diffuser () in the form of a diffusion cover included in the lamp housing to diffuse the light and create a background light for the first group of light sources. The light from the first group of light sources pass through non diffusing regions () of the diffuser cover without the light being diffused. The second group of light sources are interleaved with the first group by the diffuser having one or several diffusion areas between non diffusion areas. By controlling both groups of light sources based on the same target color the dotted look of led light sources can be removed or by controlling the two groups of light sources based on two different colors light effects can be obtained. The illumination device can be included in a moving head light source with a base, a yoke connected rotatably to the base and the head connected rotatably to the head.

The present invention relates to a light effect system for forming a light beam. The light effect system comprises a first light forming means adapted to form at least a part of the light beam where at least a first actuator is adapted to rotate the first light forming means around a first rotational point and around an first axis substantially parallel to the central axis of the light beam. At least a second actuator is adapted to move the first light forming means in relation to the light beam, such that first rotational point is moved in an area outside the light beam and radially in relation to the central axis of the light beam.

The present invention relates to a moving head light fixture comprising a base; a yoke connected rotatable to the base and a head connected rotatable to the yoke. The head comprises a number of light sources and a number of light collecting means arranged in the head, where the number of light collecting means collect and convert light from at least one of the light sources into a number of source light beams which are emitted from said head. The head comprises a diffuser cover, which comprises at least one diffuser region. The diffuser region receives and diffuses at least a part of the light and at least a part of the diffuser cover protrudes from the head. The invention relates to a illumination system comprising such a moving head and a diffuser cover protruding from the head of for a moving head light fixture.
