A method of detecting a leakage in a hydrogen refueling including establishing at a first and a second time a first and a second representation of at least one fluid parameter associated with hydrogen stored in at least one hydrogen storage tank of the hydrogen refuelling station, determining a relative difference between the first and second representation of the at least one fluid parameter, and comparing the relative difference with a threshold difference to detect a leakage, where a hydrogen refuelling station is provided including a hydrogen storage module comprising with a plurality of hydrogen storage tanks, a hydrogen station module having a compressor, and a dispensing module with at least one dispensing nozzle, the hydrogen refuelling station including at least one controller arranged to control the hydrogen refuelling station and arranged to detect a leakage using the beforementioned method.

A hydrogen refueling station including a first and a second dispensing module having first and second dispensing pressure detection means, where supply lines are fluidly connecting a storage module to an inlet compressor line and a compressor outlet line is fluidly connecting an outlet of the compressor to a dispensing line and thereby to the first and/or second dispensing module via output compressor valves, cascade lines are fluidly connecting the hydrogen storage module and the dispenser modules thereby configured for bypassing the compressor, where a controller is configured for controlling valves and thereby a fluid path from the hydrogen storage module to the dispensing modules, the controller is configured for controlling a bypass valve based on feedback from pressure detection means, from a first dispensing pressure detection means or from a second dispensing pressure detection means to establish a required pressure in the compressor outlet line.

The invention relates to a large-scale hydrogen refueling station comprising at least one supply storage, a plurality of compressor modules comprising a local controller, a plurality of dispenser modules, and a hydrogen production system comprising a hydrogen production system controller mutually connected by one or more flow paths. Wherein one of the controllers facilitates control of valves and thereby flow of hydrogen gas in the flow paths between the at least one supply storage, compressor modules, dispenser modules and hydrogen production system. Wherein the control of the valves enables flow of hydrogen gas in at least three of the flow paths simultaneously.

A method of refueling a vehicle tank with hydrogen, the refueling is controlled by a refueling station controller, the method including: connecting the tank to the station, initiating the refueling process, during the refueling monitoring the temperature of the gas inside the tank, establishing a pressure stop criterion for the refueling, based on a pressure category of the tank and the monitored temperature of the gas, the establishing of the pressure stop criterion being based on a lookup in a predefined table of a plurality of pressure stop criteria, during the refueling monitoring the pressure of the gas inside the tank, by the controller comparing the pressure of the gas with the pressure stop criterion and terminating the refueling when the pressure of the gas inside the tank has reached the pressure stop criterion, and disconnecting the vehicle and the refueling station.

A method of refueling a tank of a vehicle with a hydrogen gas from a hydrogen refueling station, including initiating flow of hydrogen gas in a hose being controlled by a controller controlling a valve, opening the valve and monitoring the temperature and pressure of the hydrogen gas in tank, based on the monitored temperature and the monitored pressure establishing an estimated state of charge during the refueling, terminating the refueling when the estimated state of charge reaches an upper state of charge being above the tank rated density, the upper state of charge being determined on the basis of a pre-estimated correction of state of charge, the pre-estimated correction of state of charge designating a decrease of the estimated state of charge in the vehicle tank after the closing of the valve disconnecting the hose between the vehicle tank and the hydrogen source.
