An assembly to contain energy from arc flash within a mounting slot of an equipment rack includes a valve panel assembly including a first valve panel body secured to the frame members by a first hinge and a second valve panel body secured to the frame members by a second hinge. The first valve panel body and the second valve panel body are configured to rotate between closed positions and open positions. A method of assembling a system to contain energy from arc flash within a mounting slot of an equipment rack is further disclosed.

Systems and methods for arc flash incident energy reduction

A fan housing mounting assembly includes an engagement mechanism configured to support a fan module and a housing configured to support the engagement mechanism. The engagement mechanism is pivotally connected to the housing. The assembly further includes a mesh plate including at least one connector coupled to the engagement mechanism. The mesh plate is configured to move with respect to the housing between a first position in which the mesh plate is spaced from the housing and a second position in which the mesh plate is adjacent to the housing. The assembly further includes a spring configured to engage the engagement mechanism. The spring is configured to bias the engagement mechanism to pivot with respect to the housing to present the fan module for removal. When the engagement mechanism is pivoted with respect to the housing, the mesh plate is maintained in the second position.

System and method for replacing a fan in an energized state

A method of treating a surface of an aluminum busbar includes pre-conditioning the surface of the busbar, anodizing one portion of the surface of the busbar, and plating another portion of the surface of the busbar with at least one metal. A fixture used to secure a busbar for a treatment process is also disclosed.

System for insulating high current busbars

A power system including an uninterruptible power system (UPS) and a maintenance bypass panel (MBP) The UPS has an input to receive input power and an output to provide output power. The MBP has an input to receive the output power provided by the UPS and an output to provide the input power to the input of the UPS. A busbar is configured to couple one of the input of the UPS to the output of the MBP and the output of the UPS to the input of the MBP. The busbar has a first region to couple to one of the input and the output of the UPS, a second region to couple to one of the input and the output of the MBP, and a measurement region. A cover shields the busbar from inadvertent contact and includes a small diameter aperture to permit access to the measurement region of the busbar.

Service access point for a uninterruptible power supply

A ventilation system for a fuel cell power module is provided. The ventilation system includes a ventilation enclosure for evacuating fluids from the fuel cell power module, the ventilation enclosure having an air inlet for providing ingress of air to the enclosure. The ventilation system further concludes a ventilation shaft in fluid communication with the ventilation enclosure and an evacuation pump arranged to exhaust fluid from the ventilation enclosure to a desired location.

Racked power supply ventilation

A system includes power modules received within a frame of a ventilation enclosure. Each of the power modules has a fuel cell stack. A ventilation shaft is arranged along a rear side of the ventilation enclosure and sealingly receives the power modules so that exhaust outlets of the power modules discharge into the ventilation shaft. Each of the power modules is removably attachable to the ventilation shaft through the front side of the ventilation enclosure. A fuel supply pipe in the ventilation shaft supplies fuel to fuel inlets of the power modules. An exhaust pump draws exhaust fluid out of the ventilation shaft.

A heatsink includes a thermally conductive body including a plurality of fins configured to conduct and dissipate heat. The body is configured to receive a circuit board containing heat-producing electrical components along a width of the body. The heatsink further includes a pivot mechanism pivotally coupled to the body and configured and disposed to contact the heat-producing electrical components. The heatsink further includes a bias device connected to the body and the pivot mechanism and configured to change from a first state to a second state to cause the pivot mechanism to rotate relative to the body to move a contact portion of the pivot mechanism toward the body. The heatsink is configured to receive the heat-producing electrical components between the contact portion of the pivot mechanism and the body, and the bias device is configured to bias the contact portion of the pivot mechanism to urge the heat-producing electrical components against the body when the bias device is in the second state.

An electrically conductive fork includes first and second arm members each having an electrical contact and a pivot portion, the pivot portion configured to receive a portion of a rod, where the first and second arm members are configured to pivot around the rod, and a connector mechanically connecting the first and second arm members in fixed relation to each other prior to insertion of a busbar between the electrical contacts, where the connector is configured to yield to a force imparted on the connector and allow the first and second arm members to pivot around the rod in response to insertion of the busbar between the electrical contacts, and the insertion of the bus bar causes the electrical contacts to separate and pivot the first and second arm members around the rod and impart the force on the connector.
