A pump apparatus has a rotor shaft, a pump impeller connected to the rotor shaft, at least one axial bearing which rotatably supports the rotor shaft at a side facing the pump impeller, a magnetic pump stator, a magnetic pump rotor which is connected to the rotor shaft, a containment can which extends between the stator and the rotor, and at least one central support element which is mounted in the region of the pump impeller. The pump apparatus has an elastomer disk which is arranged between the support element and the axial bearing. The stator and the rotor are arranged with an axial offset with respect to each other. The stator and the rotor are provided as a result of the axial offset to produce an axial force F in the direction of the elastomer disk.

The invention relates to known housing seals of two housing parts lying against each other, a first housing part () having a first sealing surface () and a second housing part () having a second sealing surface (), which housing seals are equipped with a seal (), which is inserted into a groove () in the first sealing surface () of the first housing part (), wherein the groove () is covered by the second sealing surface () of the second housing part (). According to the invention, in order to prevent crevice corrosion, the groove () has an opening () between the sealing surfaces (), which is used to ventilate the groove () having the inserted seal. The invention is intended for water pumps, in particular for auxiliary water pumps of motor vehicles.

A method of balancing an electronically driven air blower unit comprising a radial blower with a high-speed electronically commutated d.c. motor which drives the blower and which is of external rotor design, utilizing a balancing device into which the completely mounted air blower unit (1) can be inserted, without housing lid, and with which electrical contact (101, 102, 103; 201, 202, 203) can be made. The balancing device is provided with a control device for the motor (3, 4, 5) of the air blower unit and with a device (9) for bridging the motor electronics (10) of the air blower unit (1) itself. In order to drive the part to balanced of the air blower unit, its electromechanical transducer (3, 4, 5) is used, which for this purpose is actuated by the control device provided in the balancing device. The balancing process is essentially carried out in two compensation planes which are spaced axially from one another and are parallel with one another. This takes place on the one hand in a first compensation plane in the plane of the radial blower with possible erosion of material, and on the other hand in the second compensation plane, which lies opposite in the region of the end side of the external rotor (5), with possible attachment of material.

An apparatus for producing a fresh air stream, has a blower connectable at a pressure side with an exhaust gas conduit of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, a fresh air supply element communicatable with the exhaust gas conduit, a check valve provided between the blower and an opening of the fresh air supply element into the exhaust gas conduit, a cut-off arranged in the fresh air supply element between the check valve and its opening into the exhaust gas conduit and having a closing member loaded with a spring force toward a closing position, an actuating member for the closing member, and a bypass branching from the fresh air supply element so that a pressure which builds when the blower operates and is supplied through the bypass to the actuating member for the closing member acts opposite to the spring force.

The fan housing for a multistage fan has a first housing part for receiving the electric motor, a second housing part mounted coaxially on the first housing part, and a housing cover mounted on the opposing side of the second housing part. So that fan noise is minimize during fan operation, for improved protection from external effects and to avoid tension originating from thermal expansion in the blower housing the housing cover for the second housing part has a peripheral cover edge portion and is pot-shaped or cap-shaped; the housing cover completely overlaps the second housing part; an overlapping peripheral portion of this housing cover has a radial spacing from the second housing part so as to form an air cushion between the second housing part and the housing cover and the cover edge portion of the housing cover is supported on the first housing part so as to enclose the second housing part.

Fan housing

An electric motor operated impeller has a drive motor having a motor shaft, a stator and a rotor rotated about a rotary axis, an impeller housing having a receiving casing which extends in direction of the rotary axis of the rotor and accommodating the electric drive motor. The receiving casing has a wall against which the stator of the drive motor radially abuts a bottom and an opposite edge. A support supports the shaft of the motor and is provided with throughflow openings for cooling air. The wall of the casing has at least one channel-shaped expansion extending parallel to the rotary axis and formed so that the expansion is open toward the edge of the casing and closed toward the bottom of the casing.

Electric motor operated impeller

A combination valve has a pneumatically actuated shut-off valve integrated in a valve housing and operative for blocking and releasing a flow between a valve inlet and a valve outlet. The shut-off valve has a valve member which is spring loaded in a valve closing direction. A check valve is integrated in the valve housing, provides blocking of the flow from the valve outlet to the valve inlet and has a closing member formed by a flat spring. A stroke guard limits an opening stroke of the closing member. The valve member of the shut-off valve is arranged at a side of the flat spring which faces the valve outlet and forming the stroke guard of the check valve. A valve plunger is axially guided in the valve housing and centrally extending through the flat spring, and control piston with which the valve member is connected through the valve plunger is loaded with a suction pressure for opening the shut-off valve and ventilated for closing the shut-off valve.

A combination valve assembly, particularly for a secondary air blower in internal combustion engines with controlled three-way catalyzer, the combination valve assembly comprises a valve housing having a valve inlet and a valve outlet, a pneumatically actuated valve arranged in the valve housing and having a valve member for locking and releasing a flow path between the valve inlet and the valve outlet, a return valve arranged in the housing downstream of the by-pass valve as considered in a flow direction and having a closing member formed as a leaf spring, a valve plate provided with openings and a stroke catcher limiting an opening stroke arranged so that the leaf spring located between the valve plate and the stroke catcher, a valve closing spring loading the valve member of the valve in a valve closing direction while a differential pressure between a valve inlet pressure and a surrounding pressure loads the valve member of the valve in a valve opening direction. The leaf spring of the return valve has spiral arms formed in it and is clamped between the valve plate and the stroke catcher.

The muffler for a fan, especially a bypass air fan of an internal combustion engine, has a housing provided with an air outlet opening and an air inlet opening and including a housing pot having a top opening and a flat housing cover at least partially closing the top opening of the housing pot, the air inlet opening being coaxial to the housing axis and advantageously provided in the housing cover, and a damping insert made from a sound absorbing material and being provided with at least one helical or spiral air flow passage providing a connection between the air outlet opening and the air inlet opening so that air can flow through the air inlet opening to the air outlet opening. In one variation the air outlet opening can open radially from the housing pot and the air inlet opening can be provided centrally in a flat housing cover. In another variation the air outlet opening includes two throughgoing openings of approximately equal diameter provided in the housing cover and spaced an equal distance from the housing axis and the damping insert is made from a plurality of substantially equal disks stacked one on the other in the housing pot of the housing.
