A bearing unit includes rolling bodies between radially inner and outer rings and a seal element extending between the rings, the seal element including a metallic shield and an elastomeric coating overmolded on the shield. The coating includes an anchor body mounted in a seat of the outer ring, and the anchor body includes a first anchor lip on an axially inner side of the anchor body contacting the seat of the radially outer ring and a second anchor lip located on an axially outer side of the anchor body contacting and forming a seal at a location on the radially outer ring. A concave radially outwardly facing connecting surface extends from the first anchor lip to the second anchor lip and is configured to reduce a compression of the anchor body when the anchor body is inserted into the seat.

A sealing assembly for bearings, in particular for use in agriculture, comprising a primary sealing barrier and a secondary sealing barrier, which are arranged in series along a potential path (P) of ingress of contaminants into the bearing, and have, respectively, a first seal and a second seal with a plurality of contact lips. A sealing assembly for bearings, in particular for use in agriculture, the sealing assembly having a first shield, which extends from an outer surface of the inner ring to an inner surface of the outer ring, and is mounted on the outer surface of the inner ring, and a seal with a plurality of contact lips supported by the first shield, and provided with a predetermined number (N) of contact lips arranged in series axially next to one another. The contact lips may lie, when in a respective pre-assembly configuration, in respective planes (P) inclined with respect to a central axis (A) of the bearing, and may have radial lengths decreasing axially towards the bearing.

Sealing device with dynamic action, particularly for rolling bearings

A seal arrangement for sealing a radial gap between an inner component and an outer component coaxially mounted around the inner component is provided. The inner component rotates about a rotation axis. The arrangement provides a radial seal connectably mounted to the inner component. The radial seal has a sealing lip that bears against a counterface formed by a radially inner surface of the outer component. When the seal arrangement is stationary, the sealing lip bears against the counterface with an initial lip force. The sealing lip is pivotably arranged in a radial cross section around a pivot point, and is in connection with a counterweight. The sealing lip and the counterweight are arranged in different axial regions from the pivot point and are adapted such that during rotation of the radial seal, a greater centrifugal force acts on the counterweight than on the sealing lip.

Dynamic radial seal

A roller bearing seal includes an insert part and a polymer part connected to the insert part, and the insert part includes an annular-disc-shaped middle section having a radially inner deflection and a radially outer deflection, and a first ratio (L/L) of an axial length (L) of the outer deflection to an axial length (L) of the inner deflection is less than 0.65.

Seal and roller bearing

A sealing assembly comprises a first annular shield presenting an axial sleeve portion for the mounting angularly integral with one of said members, and a flange portion which radially extends from a first end of the sleeve portion, and a sealing member made of elastomeric material presenting an annular root portion, which overhangingly and radially extends from a peripheral edge of the flange portion and a first axially sealing annular lip, as well as a second radially sealing annular lip. The lips extend overhangingly and axially on the opposite side of the first end of the sleeve portion, from a same side as a thinned end of the root portion and are reciprocally and divergingly arranged to form in radial section a V-shape having a vertex facing towards the root portion and an axis parallel to the sleeve portion.

Annular sealing assembly, in particular for wheel hubs

A seal assembly including first and second rigid shields and a sealing member carried by the first shield and having a first and second annular sealing lip in sealing engagement with respective sliding surfaces of the second shield. The first sealing lip carries in a radial seat thereof a toroidal spring exerting a radially eccentric thrust on the first sealing lip with respect to an elastic hinge defined by a common root portion of the lips, having a center of rotation located along a line extending through a V-shaped sealing edge of the first lip and forming a 20&#xb0; to 60&#xb0; angle with a radial plane. The root portion is defined between two opposite annular recesses having a U-shaped cross-section and bottom walls facing each other, substantially aligned along the aforementioned line.

Annular seal assembly for insertion between two relatively rotatable members and method for its use

A sealing assembly including a sealing member made of elastomeric material and PTFE; a supporting armature; and an annular L-shaped shield cooperating, in use, with the sealing member. The armature has a sleeve portion and a radial flange portion partly supporting a radial portion of the sealing member, projecting towards the axis of symmetry and made of elastomeric material with no supporting armature. The radial portion increases in axial size towards the axis of symmetry, and supports, on its free end, a sleeve made of PTFE, the sleeve having a cylindrical first end portion projecting axially, and a conical second end portion projecting axially on the opposite side to and by a greater amount than the first end portion to form an elastically deformable axial sealing lip extending, in undeformed conditions, farther away from the axis of symmetry as it comes away from the flange portion.
