A method for monitoring a conveying system with a monitoring device includes recording a signal pattern progression in relation to a functional unit of the conveying system. A reference signal progression is stored in a database as is a correlation data set for the reference signal progression, the correlation data set including instants or time segments in the reference signal progression and reference to the functional unit. The reference is linked to each instant or time segment, the recorded signal pattern progression is compared with the reference signal progression by a processing unit, and in the event of deviation between the signal progressions an entry in the correlation data set belonging to the reference signal progression is determined by the processing unit on the basis of an instant or time segment of such a deviation, and the functional unit referenced there is output as a cause.

Monitoring of conveyance system

A support element system, particularly for elevators, has at least one support element having two load-bearing tensile carriers which are arranged horizontally adjacent to one another and which are enclosed in a common elastomeric casing separating the two tensile carriers. The tensile carriers respectively have an opposite direction of wrap. The system has a drive pulley for transmission of a drive force to the at least one support element, wherein the drive pulley has a contoured traction surface with two support surfaces, which are provided for transmission of the drive force and which co-operate with the support element.

Support element system for elevators

A supporting and drive belt including a belt body or sheathing which encloses tensile carriers. The running surface of the belt can be flat and parallel to the belt back or have trapezium-shaped or semicircular ribs and grooves, wherein the profile of a drive pulley or of a deflecting pulley is approximately complementary to the running surface of the belt. One or more tensile carriers are provided for each rib, wherein the tensile carriers are laid or stranded alternately in the 'Z' direction and the 'S' direction.

A synthetic fiber rope can be used to the limit of failure by setting a sensitivity of detection of the state of wear of the rope. Strands of the rope have indicator fibers or indicator yarn that have a high probability of losing electrical conductivity and thereby indicate a worn cable. The indicator yarn consists of indicator fibers and of synthetic fibers, the indicator yarn fibers being inferior in relation to stress than the synthetic fibers of the strands.

Synthetic fiber rope for supporting an elevator car

A synthetic fiber cable has the strands of a strand layer mutually spaced apart. With the mutual spacing, the strands of the outer strand layer can move radially in the direction of the cable center and exert a radial pressure on the strands of the first inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the first inner strand layer to the strands of the second inner strand layer. The radial pressure is passed on from the strands of the second inner strand layer to the core strand. The radial pressure increases inwardly from strand layer to strand layer. The soft cable sheathing does not act as a support between the strands in circumferential direction.

Synthetic fiber rope

In an elevator installation, an apparatus and a method use a support end connection for fastening a support device to an elevator car, a counterweight and/or a building. The support device has at least one cable or cable strand enclosed by a cable casing and is held in a wedge pocket by a wedge. The cable casing is formed of thermoplastic material or an elastomer and the cable or the cable strand is glued to, fused together with or mechanically connected with the cable casing in the region of the support end connection. A friction force transmitted from the support end connection to the cable casing can then be directly passed on to the load-bearing core of the support device, to the cables or to the cable strands. The tolerable tension force in the support device is increased. The support device is preferably a multiple cable.

A belt has at least two fiber strands which have synthetic fiber threads twisted in themselves and are designed for acceptance of force in longitudinal direction. The strands are arranged at a spacing relative to one another along the longitudinal direction of the belt and are embedded in a belt casing. At least one of the strands comprises an electrically conductive indicator thread which is twisted together with the synthetic fiber threads of the strand, wherein the indicator thread is arranged outside the center of the fiber bundle. The indicator thread has a breaking elongation (&#x3b5;) which is smaller than the breaking elongation (&#x3b5;) of individual synthetic fiber threads of the strand. It can be electrically contacted so that an electrical monitoring of the integrity thereof is made possible.

Belt with integrated monitoring

A contact-connecting device connects more than two indicator fibers in an electrically conducting manner to create a conducting connection of the indicator fibers at the end of a safety-monitored synthetic fiber rope made from electrically insulating synthetic fibers and the electrically conducting indicator fibers. A fastener fixes the contact-connecting device and the indicator fibers relative to one another, which creates a low-cost and reliable contact-connection.

In a rope deflection, such as preferably a traction sheave drive for an elevator, the diameter at the rope contacting surface and the lay length of a synthetic fiber rope passing over it are related to each other in such a way that within the angle of wrap of the rope, each of the strands of the covering layer of strands lies on the traction sheave at least three times. This relationship achieves a permanently reliable rope drive with a synthetic fiber rope for use on pulleys or traction sheaves, with which irreversible displacements of strands in the covering layer of strands of the synthetic rope can be reliably avoided.

Rope deflection and suitable synthetic fiber rope and their use

A synthetic fiber rope to be driven by a rope sheave is constructed as a twin rope consisting of two ropes with opposite directions of twist which extend parallel to and a fixed distance from each other. The ropes are surrounded by a rope sheath so as not to rotate when the twin rope runs over a rope sheave. The sheave acts as a torque neutralizer which, when the twin rope is loaded longitudinally, mutually offsets the oppositely oriented torques of the ropes which arise due to the structure of the rope, thereby causing over the entire cross-section of the twin rope equalization of the torques from the sum of all the parts having right-hand twist strands and all the parts having left-hand twist strands.

Synthetic fiber rope to be driven by a rope sheave

A synthetic rope has multiple layers of load-bearing aramide fiber strands laid together with a coating on the synthetic fiber strands in the outermost layer of strands. The coating includes an impregnating substance with additives of UV stabilizers, short fibers, and oxidation and reduction blockers to provide reliable protection against environmental influences damaging to the rope, as well as an unchanged adequate resistance of the synthetic fiber rope to abrasion.

Sheathless synthetic fiber rope

A synthetic fiber cable, preferably of polyamide material, consists of a bundle of load-bearing synthetic material fibers and at least one conductive temperature sensor element extending a length of the cable. The temperature sensor element forms, in dependence on the temperature, a conductive connection over the length of the cable, which connection is constantly monitored by a measurement circuit. The connection is interrupted at a checking circuit in the case of temperatures critical for the synthetic fiber cable. The temperature sensor element can be a fine wire melting at the critical temperature. The synthetic fiber cable can be used in elevator installations amongst other things as a safety device, especially as a fire alarm.

An apparatus for synchronizing a telescopic ram in a hydraulic elevator in which two or more pistons and a cylinder are simultaneously extended from and retracted into a foot portion mounted at the bottom of an elevator shaft includes a connecting cable which is fixed on one end to the shaft wall and on the other to one of the pistons and the cylinder and is deflected over a roller used for the synchronization. The connecting cable is a sheathed synthetic fiber cable.

Apparatus for synchronization of telescopic rams in hydraulic elevators

A traction sheave for driving synthetic fiber ropes, preferably of an elevator installation, ensures a consistently good selected tractive capacity that is largely independent of external influences which reduce friction. At least part of the rope running surface on the traction sheave is provided with a selected roughness grade of N7 to N12. The selected roughness grade on the running surface is formed either by mechanical machining or by use of a suitable coating, preferably a plasma coating of corundum. For example, only the bed of the rope groove, the area of the flanks of the rope groove, or a wide area of the surface of the rope groove can be of the selected roughness grade. By correspondingly suitable arrangement of these differently formed rope grooves on the traction sheave, a desired tractive behavior can be systematically effected.
