A refrigerator () includes a storage chamber () for produce storage and a produce ripening control system (). The produce ripening control system () includes an ethylene absorber () adapted to operate in absorption mode in a first status and in desorption mode in a second status. A recirculation circuit () is configured to fluidly connect the absorber () with the storage chamber () and to draw air from the storage chamber (), to flow the drawn air through the absorber () and to return it into the storage chamber (). A control unit () configured to selectively operate the absorber either in the absorption mode for ethylene absorption or in the desorption mode for ethylene desorption.

The present invention relates to a household appliance for performing a housekeeping task. The household appliance comprises a data input device () adapted to remotely sense a property in a sensing area (), and a controller () coupled to the data input device and adapted to control an operation of the household appliance in accordance with the sensed property.

A domestic appliance assembly comprising at least two machines, each of which being provided with control means able to receive program inputs set by a user and operative information transmitted by the other machine so as said machines can perform their functions in an integrate and synchronised way. Each machine () comprise a wireless communication module () adapted to exchange information directly between the machines and means () to process said information and to synchronise the machine functioning. The domestic appliance assembly according to the invention allows to accomplish a better power management, to avoid electrical overloads, and to synchronise the appliance functioning.

Control panel of the touch-switch comprising: an external control board with transparent surface portions, devices for illuminating the transparent surface portions from the inside, capacitive-type detecting or sensing devices on the backside of the control board and adapted to detect the presence, on the front side of the control board. The devices for illuminating comprise a plurality of illumination channels comprised laterally between pairs of opaque septum-like partitions arranged in parallel manner on the backside of the control board. The capacitive-type detecting devices comprise conductive elements applied either on the mutually facing surfaces of contiguous septum-like partitions or on one of the surfaces and a ground not comprised between the septum-like partitions. The illuminating channels are delimited on the front side by the external control board at the transparent surface portions and, on the back side, by support members arranged at the rear side of the septum-like partitions.
