An induction device includes an induction unit including a sensor unit, which is arranged above the induction unit in a mounted position and includes a plurality of presence sensor elements arranged in a distributed manner and configured to detect a sensor parameter in the form of a presence parameter of an object. An induction device includes an induction unit including a sensor unit which is arranged above the induction unit in a mounted position and includes a plurality of temperature sensor elements arranged in a distributed manner and configured to detect a sensor parameter in the form of a temperature parameter of a unit. A cooktop apparatus, in particular an induction cooktop apparatus, includes a switching unit configured to interrupt and establish current flow from a current supply, a first switching element receiving the current flow during an operating process, a control apparatus, which controls the switching unit during the operating process such that the switching unit interrupts the current supply during a first time interval which has a duration of less than of half a period of the power supply voltage. The control apparatus causes the current supply to be connected during the operating process immediately before and immediately after the first time interval. The first switching element begins switching and ends switching during the first time interval.

Hob device

A cooker hob device, in particular to an induction cooker hob device, includes at least one switching unit and at least one control apparatus. In order to obtain a high degree of efficiency, the control apparatus is constructed to automatically prompt the at least one switching unit in at least one operating cycle to switch in at least one entire first time interval using at least one switching parameter having a value which changes at least substantially continuously.

An induction heating element including a circular inductor coil that has a circular outer contour and a ferrite element arrangement that has at least one ferrite element with a radially outer edge. At least at one curvature point, the radially outer edge of the ferrite element is curved to a greater degree than the circular outer contour of the inductor coil.
