The invention provides a process for laminating textile sheet materials onto moldable particle foam or onto foamed moldings, using, as an adhesive, a polymer composition based on copolymers of one or more monomers selected from the group comprising vinyl esters, acrylates, methacrylates, vinylaromatics and vinyl chloride and from 0.01 to 25% by weight, based on the total weight of the copolymer, of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing carboxyl groups.

Process for laminating textile sheet materials onto moldable particle foam or onto foamed moldings

This invention relates to a process for prebinding fiber materials by means of a pulverulent binder composition. It further relates to the use of the prebound fiber material for producing plastics moldings from fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester resins or epoxy resins by laying up the prebound fiber material, saturating the fiber material with the unsaturated polyester resin or epoxy resin and forming the molding.

Prebinding of fiber materials

A process is provided for producing fast curing bonded with phenolic resin, which comprises pulverulent phenolic resins mixed with or applied to the substrate to be adhered together with pulverulent addition polymers selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohols and addition polymers, stabilized by hydroxyl-containing protective colloids of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of the vinyl esters of branched or unbranched carboxylic acids of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, the esters of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid with branched or unbranched alcohols of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, vinylaromatics, vinyl halides, olefins and dienes, and subsequently, by the employment of elevated temperature and optionally elevated pressure, cured and processed into a shaped article.
