The invention relates to the field of organic electronic devices () with diffusion barriers and to a method to manufacture such organic electronic devices () to provide an organic electronic device () with excellent performance, which is as stable as possible over time. The organic electronic device () with a substrate (), a first electrode () arranged on top of the substrate () and a functional layer stack (FLS) arranged on top of the first electrode () comprising one or more organic layers () and a second electrode (), wherein the organic electronic device () further comprises at least one essentially transparent and electrically conductive graphene layer () arranged in contact to at least one of the organic layers () acting as a diffusion barrier against diffusion of atoms, ions or molecules into this organic layer ().

Organic electroluminescent device

The invention provides an OLED device with improved light out-coupling, which can be manufactured easy and reliable at low costs, which comprises an electroluminescent layer stack () on top of a substrate (), where the electroluminescent layer stack () comprises an organic light-emitting layer stack () with one or more organic layers sandwiched between a first electrode () facing towards the substrate () and a 10 second electrode (), where the second electrode () comprises a layer stack of at least a transparent conductive protection layer () on top of the organic light-emitting layer stack (), a transparent organic conductive buckling layer () on top of the protection layer () having a glass transition temperature lower than the lowest glass transition temperature of the organic layers within the organic light-emitting layer stack () and a stress inducing layer() on top of the buckling layer () to introduce stress to the buckling layer (). The invention further relates to a method to manufacture such OLED devices with heating the electroluminescent layer () stack to a temperature, which is above the glass transition temperature of the buckling layer () and below the lowest glass transition temperature of the organic layers within the organic light-emitting layer stack () for a time period sufficient 20 to obtain buckles (B) within the buckling layer ().

The invention provides an OLED device with improved light out-coupling comprising an electroluminescent layer stack () on top of a substrate (), where the electroluminescent layer stack () comprises an organic light-emitting layer stack () with one or more organic layers sandwiched between a first electrode () facing towards the substrate () and a second electrode () to apply a driving voltage to the organic light-emitting layer stack (), and a first electron transport layer stack () arranged between the organic light emitting layers stack () and the second electrode (), wherein the electron transport layer stack () comprises an electron transport layer () made of a first electron transport material having a low refractive index and at least one n-doped layer (). The invention further relates to a method to manufacture these OLED devices.

A system related to the improvement of the design of display device screens during the off or stand-by state is provided. The system comprises a display device and a device connected to the display device, wherein the device comprises a material having a switchable optical configuration. The display device may e.g. by a TV screen, or any other display such as computer monitors.

Device for placement in front of a display device

The invention relates to a transparent organic light emitting diode (OLED) (), comprising: a substrate material () with a top face () and a bottom face (), whereas at least on the top face () is arranged at least one OLED-layer system with a first electrode layer (), a second electrode layer () and an organic light emitting layer system (), arranged in between said first electrode layer () and said second electrode layer (), whereas said OLED () is performed to emit light via the top face () and via the bottom face () and whereas the top face () and the bottom face () of said OLED () feature at least one bright lucent area () and at least one dark lucent area (). Transparent organic light emitting diode

The invention relates to an electroluminescent device () comprising a substrate and on top of the substrate a substrate electrode, a counter electrode and an electroluminescent layer stack with at least one organic electroluminescent layer () arranged between the substrate electrode () and the counter electrode (), and an encapsulation means () encapsulating at least the electroluminescent layer stack, the electroluminescent device () comprises at least one contact means (), for electrically contacting the counter electrode () to an electrical source. The invention discloses that at least one protective means () is arranged on the substrate electrode (), wherein the protective means () is electrically non-conductive and is at least fully covering the area below the contact means ().
