The present invention is related to novel substituted 1-benzylcinnolin-4(1H)-one derivatives having affinity for cannabinoid CBreceptors, their preparation and their therapeutic application.

The invention relates to compounds of formula (I), wherein X, R, R, R, Rand Rare as described herein. The invention also includes preparative methods for the preparation of compounds of formula (I). A method for the therapeutic use of the inventive compounds is also disclosed and claimed.
