Sport boot including a device for coupling the upper to the shell base. The coupling device has two coupling assemblies that are removable and replaceable by coupling assemblies with different mechanical characteristics which connect the upper to a collar extending from the shell base. These coupling assemblies are arranged on both sides of the dorsal zone of the boot on fixing points located behind the journal axes of the upper, and at a distance above such axes. The sport boot according to the invention is adaptable by the user, in order to provide it with technical characteristics that are specific to a sport activity, in a simple and reversible manner.

The invention relates to a ski boot including a first element or shell base overlaid by a second element or upper provided with a flexion control device having a shock absorbing element cooperating between the upper and the shell base. A transmission arm connects the top portion of the upper to the shell base via a shock absorbing element inserted between at least one of its ends and the opposing wall of the constituent element of the boot. The transmission arm transmits all of the pivoting forces of the boot with respect to the shell base directly to the shock absorbing element due to its attachment by its two ends to these elements of the boot, and forces the shock absorbing element, sandwiched between the arm of the element, to operate in shearing.

Boot with upper flexion control

The invention relates a sport shoe having a shell base topped by an upper that is pivotal/flexible with respect to the shell base via a flexion control arrangement. The flexion control arrangement includes a viscous element interposed between mobile portions which overlap and displace relatively with respect to each other when the upper pivots, forming a flexion control by viscous friction. The viscous element procures a silent and constant braking between the mobile portions.

The invention is related to an alpine ski boot having a rigid shell whose base has an external sole on which a shell base is mounted, which shell base is overlaid by an upper having a rear portion and a front portion. The shell includes an internal sole on its bottom and also receives an internal cushioning including a flexible and comfortable liner, interposed between the foot and the lower part of the leg of the skier and the rigid shell. The rigid internal reinforcement has an asymmetrical transverse section and is of an overall squared shape. In particular, it includes a substantially vertical area extending laterally on the side of the shell base turned inward corresponding to the internal malleolus of the foot of the skier, and extended by a horizontal area extending on its bottom so that the shell base is rendered non-deformable in these areas exclusively, in order to provide firm support during vertical pressures on the sole and/or lateral pressures on the internal side, resulting from the forces exerted by the skier on the boot and its upper during skiing, without at all changing the flexibility characteristics to the other areas.

Reinforced ski boot

The invention is related to a ski boot having a pivoting front cuff including a rigid shell base on which is at least partially journaled an upper that includes a front cuff and a rear spoiler, the front cuff being pivotally mounted in the end zone of the shell base and covering a longitudinal slit provided in its upper front portion. On either side of the longitudinal slit of the front cuff are defined two transverse tongues that are joined together by at least one flexible traction element interposed between an anchoring element of one of the transverse tongues and a manoeuvering member affixed to the other transverse tongue so as to constitute an inner foot tightening device. According to the invention, the front portion of the front cuff includes slots adapted to allow its free sliding with respect to the corresponding spacers of the tongues so as to be applied permanently thereupon, regardless of the relative position of the tongues in accordance with the state of the inner foot tightening device.

The invention relates to an alpine ski boot provided with a foot retention apparatus which cooperates with at least one movable portion of said ski boot adapted to be applied against the front upper zone of the foot by means of a traction element directed obliquely towards the heel of the boot. The boot is characterized in that it comprises an adjustment means for adjusting the obliqueness of the linkage with respect to the movable portion of the boot in correspondence with the front upper zone of the foot. This adjustment means has a plurality of conduits for guiding linkage 12 defining, respectively, a different obliqueness than the linkage, itself causing a different direction of the resultant F of the pressure forces exerted on the foot.

A ski boot with a rigid shell base having an upper at least partially journalled on the shell base, the upper being provided with a rear spoiler and a front cuff. The front cuff pivots on the end of the shell base and is capable of a vertical displacement when the upper is open. This displacement is permitted by the linkage apparatus which determines its amplitude and which constitutes the linkage and the low reference abutment of the front cuff, especially when the latter closes the slot of introduction of the foot in the boot under the action of the internal foot retention apparatus to which it is associated.

The upper preferably extends towards the rear through two lateral extensions on which the rear spoiler is journalled. The boot includes an inextensible linkage which connect the ends of the axis, while being in contact with the rear spoiler over at least one point spaced from the journal thereof on the shell base. Further, a tensioning device is connected to the linkage which ensures the closure of the boot.

A rear-entry ski boot having a rigid shell and an upper constituted by a front cuff and a rear spoiler, and system for fastening and adjusting the boot on the lower leg of the skier. The upper includes a central sleeve journalled on the shell base and having a front opening and a rear opening defined by the two lateral walls of the upper part; a rear spoiler journalled on the sleeve and adapted to close the rear opening of the sleeve; and a front cuff journalled on a lower front zone of the sleeve and adapted to close the front opening of the sleeve. With the construction of the ski boot, the upper is made adjustable to more effectively support the skier's lower leg. Various latching mechanisms and locking mechanisms are also provided.

Alpine ski boot

An Alpine ski boot incorporating a shell base made of a rigid material, on which a shaft is jointed. The elastic means for control of the flexion of the shaft are made up of an energy cassette (8) attached onto the rear cover (5) which contains an elastic deformable element (9) and at least one connecting device (12, 13) extending between that element (9) and an anchoring point (14) on the shell base (1) beneath the energy cassette (8). The connecting device (12, 13) is put into traction whenever the shaft (2) pivots forward, and remains inoperative during rearward pivoting motion of the rear cover alone (5).

The shoe incorporates a shaft (3) jointed (5) to a shell (1) along a transverse axis (5'), connecting two joint pieces (5) on each side of the shoe and connected to one another by a stirrup (6). The joint pieces (5), stationary in relation to the shaft (3), may be moved (52) in an approximately vertical direction in relation to the shell (1) and may be locked into position. The stirrup (6) is located in the upper part of the shell (1) and surrounds the top of the wearer's instep, thereby distributing the bearing stresses exerted by the shaft (3) on the shell (1) in the area of the instep.

Sport shoe

An arrangement for retaining a skier's foot within the shell base of a ski boot, comprising one or more tongues integral with the inner sides of the shell base, extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boot and at least partly surrounding the top of the foot. The tongues fold down along a drop line in a plane above the heads of the metatarsals and the malleoli, and are located between two planes secant to the plane of the boot sole and passing through the heads of these bones. Actuation of the tongues relative to the foot takes place from outside the boot.

The rear spoiler is mounted in such a manner as to allow two types of movement. The rear spoiler can rotate to a rearward, open position to provide a large opening for insertion of a foot.
