A stent having an inner surface and an outer surface, at least a portion of the outer surface of the stent comprising a dissolvable adhesive polymer or a degradable adhesive polymer disposed on at least a portion of the outer surface of the stent, the adhesive is activated by exposure to an aqueous environment, the dissolvable adhesive polymer dissolves over time in an aqueous environment, the dissolvable adhesive polymer or the degradable adhesive polymer has a surface tack of about 2 psi to about 14 psi.

The present disclosure pertains to medical devices that comprise a stent body having two ends, a central region therebetween, and comprising structural elements extending around the stent body and a covering material disposed over the stent body, the covering material covering only a portion of the stent body, in which the covering material is provided with a plurality of openings that provide areas where the stent body is not covered by the covering material. The present disclosure further pertains to medical apparatuses that comprise such medical devices and methods of treatment using such medical devices.

Stent-containing medical devices and methods of using the same

Implementations of a delivery device and method are disclosed. One implementation is a delivery device comprising a flow chamber with an inlet port for receiving a fluid flow in the flow chamber, and an outlet port for exiting a material from the flow chamber. The flow chamber may include a formation portion in which a suspension of the material is formed, and a collection portion that directs the suspension toward and/or into the outlet port. An amount of the material may collect in the collection portion adjacent the outlet port. The device may further comprise an insertion port for permitting insertion of the material in the flow chamber, and/or a pusher operable to move the amount of material through the outlet port. Related devices and methods also are disclosed.

Delivery devices and methods

A stent that includes a plurality of quill filaments. Each quill filament includes filament material, a surface, and a plurality of quills. Each quill has a tip, a body, and a base where the body extends from the base to the tip. The quill filaments can be interwoven to form the stent or the quill filaments can be engaged to the framework of a stent.

A tubular prosthesis that includes a scaffolding formed by at least one scaffolding filament; a cover; and at least one controlled ingrowth feature constructed and arranged to abut an inner surface of a lumen wall when the prosthesis is implanted in the body lumen. A stent delivery device has a handle and a sliding body, the sliding body is slidable with respect to the handle. The handle has a grip and a guide. The sliding body has at least two flange portions extending from the sliding body. The flange portions are offset from one another along the length of the sliding body. The operator can thereby deploy a relatively long stent by first gripping the nearest flange portion and pulling the sliding body toward the handle; subsequently, the operator can reposition his/or finger on the next-nearest flange portion and continue deployment of the stent by pulling the sliding body further toward the handle.

Stent delivery device

A valve to perform lung volume reduction procedures is described. The valve is formed of a braided structure that is adapted for endoscopic insertion in a bronchial passage of a patient's lung. The braided structure has a proximal end and a distal end and is covered with a non porous coating adapted to prevent flow of air into the. A constricted portion of the braided structure is used to prevent flow of air through a central lumen of the structure, and to define at least one funnel shaped portion. The funnel shaped portion blocks the flow of air towards the constriction, i.e. towards the core of the lung. At least one hole is formed in the braided structure to permit flow of mucus from the distal end to the proximal end, to be expelled out of the lungs.
