A device for the localizing and restoring of a line of fire of a weapon carried by a shooter equipped with a helmet, the device comprising two cameras, a first camera and a second camera, each having an objective and at least one sensor sensitive to light radiation, the first camera being mounted on the helmet and the second camera being mounted on the weapon, a computer receiving digitized information from each of the cameras and, on the basis of this digitized information, computing and controlling a display system to bring about the appearance thereon of a symbology providing a real-time depiction of the axis of fire of the weapon, wherein at least three distinctive optical reference marks in the range of sensitivity of the sensor and/or of the sensors are distributed between the weapon and the helmet and wherein, in the firing positions, the reference marks of the helmet are in the fields of the camera of the weapon and the reference marks of the weapon are in the fields of the camera of the helmet.

Aiming device for weapon and fitted-out weapon

The invention is an optical device, similar to a pair of binoculars, which includes, between the objective lens and the eyepiece a miniature screen displaying an image controlled by a computer, and an optical reflex device capable of superimposing the screen image on the image seen through the objective lens. The device also includes, selectively or cumulatively, a variable light attenuator, a light amplifier for night vision, sensors to detect the line of sight of the optical device, and a computer which can also be selectively or cumulatively connected to a localization receiver of the 'global positioning system' type and a transceiver. The device can be used to add further information on geographic positions, friends, enemies, infrared images, etc. into the scene seen through the binoculars.

Computerized binoculars

An optical device, similar to binoculars, which includes, between the objective lens and the eyepiece a miniature screen displaying an image controlled by a computer, and an optical reflex device capable of superimposing the screen image on the image seen through the objective lens. The device also includes, selectively or cumulatively, a variable light attenuator and a light amplifier for night vision. The device can be used, in conjunction with a computer, to add further information on geographic positions, friends, enemies, infrared images, etc. into the scene seen through the binoculars.

Twin-image binoculars

Material made up of a thin layer between two surfaces, a first and a second, to be used as the third layer of a transparent goggles face, the first layer being a screen and the second layer being a thickness layer, remarkable in that the material consists of a formable transparent polymer matrix having a refractive index and containing micro-cavities in the form of lenses, the micro-cavities being made from a transparent material different from that of the matrix, the refractive index of the material of the micro-cavities changing under the influence of an electric field applied across it, for a first field value the refractive index being equal to that of the matrix, and for a second field value being greater than that of the matrix, a pair of electrodes being associated with each micro-cavity.

Weapon aiming device

A system for simultaneous transmission of data blocks or vectors between a memory and one or a number of data-processing units having a memory which is subdivided into a whole number N of logic arrays of n physical arrays of q memory locations. An interconnection network controlled by a control logic device establishes the connections between the logic arrays of the memory and the data-processing units. Addressing devices controlled respectively by a data-processing unit have the function of addressing the memory locations to which each data-processing unit requests access. The control logic device has logic for establishing a connection between each requesting unit and the logic array containing the address of the start of the vector or data block to be transferred and control means for successively switching the requesting unit to the following logic arrays at the end of each data transfer between a logic array of the memory and the requesting data-processing unit.
