A liquid containment device and method for containing leakage from a liquid reservoir. The liquid containment device comprises a base and a peripheral wall that comprises flexible resilient folds that allow a portion of the peripheral wall to be flattened against the floor to slide the liquid containment device under the liquid reservoir. The peripheral wall is resilient and returns readily to a position where it extends upwardly from the base when released. The liquid containment device can be installed by lifting slightly a reservoir, flattening a portion of the peripheral wall, sliding it under the reservoir until the flattened portion protrudes past the far edge of the reservoir whereupon it resiliently regains its shape forming a receptacle under the reservoir. A toothbrush holder enclosure is provided which includes a three parts: a back plate, a resilient clamp and a front cover. The back plate and front cover form a housing. The clamp part has an inverted 'U' shape and is made of a resilient material giving it a springy property. The clamp is shaped to urge two clamp arms towards one another in order for the clamp to grip a toothbrush. Two rollers at the tips of the clamp arms engage a toothbrush head inserted in the clamp as the clamp is spread apart from the clamped position to a deviated state. With the toothbrush inserted, the rollers exert pressure on a neck of the toothbrush to hold the toothbrush fast in place. The rolling engagement action of the rollers permits gripping toothbrushes having heads fitted with rubber sides.

A two-part tool for lifting from a ground surface a reservoir located substantially adjacent a wall, the reservoir defining a reservoir bottom end supported on the ground surface and a reservoir top end substantially opposed to the reservoir bottom end. The two part-tool includes: a wedge component defining a wedge component first end and a substantially opposed wedge component second end, the wedge component defining opposed first and second contact surfaces each extending between the wedge component first and second ends, the first and second contact surfaces diverging from each other in a direction leading from the wedge component first end toward the wedge component second end; a jack component, the jack component including a base, a lifting member operatively coupled to the base so as to be movable relatively thereto, and an actuator operatively coupled to the lifting member and to the base for selectively moving the lifting member relatively to the base.

The invention relates to an apparatus for packaging objects, like soiled diapers, into an elongated flexible plastic tube. The apparatus includes a container with an upper portion with an opening and a lower portion. A cassette is mounted in the upper portion of the container coaxially with the opening to store a tube in a compacted form. A plunging device is provided to compress the object to be disposed of, and to push it into the tube and then to the bottom part of the container. The plunging device includes biased flaps and biased slides orthogonal to the arms which permits to push the object down while allowing a hermetic seal of the flexible tube to prevent escape of bad odours.

Apparatus for packing objects into an elongated tube

Resilient attachment members interconnect a pair of flat plates of a movement detector pad and are preferably disposed in the corners of these flat plates. A piezoelectric transducer is disposed centrally between the plates to generate signals when the plates move with respect to one another. In one embodiment the resilient attachment members each have a connector pin which is connected to one of the plates and extends into a pin receiving hollow node formed in the other plates and projecting above an inner surface of the other plate. The end of the connector pin has lateral projections to engage within the node when both plates are spaced apart a predetermined distance by the pressure of helical springs which are disposed about each pin and its associated node. During movement of the pin within the node the pin is in substantially friction free movement whereby not to corrupt the movement signal generated by the piezoelectric crystal. These resilient attachment members interconnect the plates together while providing flexion thereof and which have the effect of maximizing the movement signal to the piezo by reducing the shunt effect that a more rigid corner plate connection has. The resilient members may also be constituted by leaf springs formed integral with one of the plates and connected to the other.
