An adjustable cartridge for a boring bar includes a support structure including a surface for abutment with a peripheral area of a boring bar. A load-bearing structure mounts a cutting insert assembled to be movable in a first direction on the support structure. An adjustment mechanism is arranged to adjust the position of the load-bearing structure in relation to the support structure. The adjustment mechanism includes at least a first elastic means arranged to exert force against a first surface of the load-bearing structure, and an adjustment part disposed between the support structure and a second surface of the load-bearing structure and arranged to contact and to be movable in a second direction relative to the support structure and the load-bearing structure. The adjustment part has a surface that forms an acute angle with the second direction and is disposed in contact with a second surface of the load-bearing structure.

Adjustable cartridge for boring bar

A cutting tool includes a main body suitable to be mounted pivotably about an axis of rotation. A cutting head is carried by a carrying member. The carrying member is mounted displaceably in translation on the main body along an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation. A counterweight is displaceably mounted in translation on the main body along an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The cutting tool also includes an adjusting spindle for the simultaneous adjustment of the carrying member with respect to the counterweight, arranged on either side of the axis of rotation of the main body.

Cutting tool suitable to allow a balanced setting

A boring tool on a flange consisting of at least one tool holder and a flange, in which the tool holder is fitted with a means of gripping designed to engage the guiding and clamping assembly of the slide for guiding and holding the fastening flange, which is provided, in addition, with a device for limiting the travel of the tool holder or of the counterweight, or the positioning lug of a tool holder or of a counterweight can be put aside during placement a tool holder or a counterweight and returns automatically into position after this placement and in which each tool holder is fitted with a device for lubricating the cutting edge of the tool, coupled to the means of centralized lubrication of the flange. The tool is more particularly applicable in the field of numerically-controlled machine-tool accessories, tooling centers, cubicles, and flexible workshops.

A tool holder assembly, having a central tool holding shaft (1) provided, on the one hand, with a mounting cone for securement in a machine tool spindle and, on the other hand, on the side opposite the cone, with an intermediate cylindrical body provided at its forward portion with securement structure for a tool. It is provided also with a feeler device (2) centered on the central shaft (1) and guided in translation on this latter, with lubricating structure and with cleaning structure for the machining region at the location of application of the feeler device (2).

The present invention relates to a boring head constituted by a body (1) provided with a radial piston (2) for reception of a boring tool (3) gripped by means of a screw (4), said piston (2) being adjustable in position by means of a micrometric screw (5), characterized in that the body (1) is provided also with a slide block (6) effecting the guidance, the orientation and an end-of-movement abutment for the piston (2) for reception of the boring tool (3) and with a balancing device (7) with independent counterweights (8 and 9).
