An acrylic multilayer foil includes a layer A in which silica particles are uniformly distributed in an acrylic polymer matrix and a coating layer D. Due to adhesive promoting properties of the layer A containing silica particles, the coating layer D can be advantageously applied onto the layer A. The foil has a high weathering resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Therefore, the foil is highly suitable for surface-protection of materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and for use in high-pressure laminates (HPLs).

Acrylic multilayer foil with improved mechanical properties and a high weathering resistance

The present invention relates to novel films for application on materials as protective film in respect of weathering effects. In particular, the present invention relates to a novel film composite which has at least three layers and which features particularly good adhesion on the substrate and particularly good optical properties. The outermost layer here is a layer comprising a fluoropolymer, the middle layer is a PMMA layer comprising at least one UV absorber and/or UV stabilizer, and the innermost layer is a PMMA layer comprising at least one adhesion promoter which improves adhesion on the substrate.

Three-layer UV protective film for decorative laminated sheets (HPL)

The present invention relates to novel matt PMMA foils for application on materials as foil providing protection from weathering effects and as decorative foil. In particular, the present invention relates to a novel, at least two-layer PMMA foil which features particularly good adhesion on the substrate. The outer layer here exhibits the mattness, and the inner layer here comprises a low-molecular-weight component which improves adhesion on the substrate.

The present invention relates to a plastics mixture comprising at least one thermoplastic polyurethane A) and at least one impact-modified poly(meth)acrylate B), where the impact-modified poly(meth)acrylate comprises a hard phase whose glass transition temperature is at least 70&#xb0; C. and a tough phase whose glass transition temperature is at most &#x2212;10&#xb0; C., the average particle size of the tough phase is at most 130 nm, and at least a portion of the tough phase has covalent linkage to the hard phase.

Plastic mixtures comprising thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and impact-resistant poly(meth)acrylate

The invention relates to a method for producing a thermoplastic plastic film. According to said method, the thermoplastic plastic is melted and transported in an extrusion installation comprising an extruder, an extrusion nozzle with a wide-slot delivery opening and a chill roll, which is fixed to a roll system and then leaves the delivery opening of the extrusion nozzle in the form of a flat melted web. Said melted web is then applied to the chill roll and is cooled. The invention is characterised in that it uses an extrusion installation, in which the distance between the delivery opening of the extrusion nozzle and the surface of the cooled roll does not vary by more than +/&#x2212;50 &#x3bc;m during the operating time. The invention also relates to a film of this type and to uses of the latter.
