In some aspects the present invention relates to engineered endothelial cells, such as E40RF1+ ETV2+ engineered endothelial cells. In other aspects the present invention relates to methods of making such engineered endothelial cells, and methods of using such engineered endothelial cells, for example in co-culture applications.

In certain aspects the present invention provides engineered neural cells, neural stem cells, or neural progenitor cells that contain a nucleotide sequence that encodes an adenovirus E40RF1 polypeptide and/or that contain an adenovirus E40RF1 polypeptide. The present invention also provides methods of making and using such engineered cells and compositions comprising such engineered cells.

The present application relates to compositions of modified toxins exhibiting cytotoxicity and/or reduced immunogenicity. Another aspect relates to a fusion protein which comprises a modified diphtheria toxin and a non-diphtheria toxin fragment that is a cell binding portion. Another aspect relates to the use of a modified diphtheria toxin for the treatment of a malignant disease or a non-malignant disease. A modified diphtheria toxin or fusion protein may be administered with one or more other agents.

Compositions and methods for treating B-cell malignancies

A device for assuring that restroom users are effectively reminded to wash and cleanse their hands. A spray pump is attached adjacent to an exterior door-handle to a restroom and is activated either by the turning of the handle or by the opening of the door. The spray pump includes a spray nozzle which sprays the user's front palm and/or back of the hand with a dye stain when the door-handle is opened. The dye stain is non-toxic fast drying and easily washable with cleanser such as soap and water. The dye stain can be visible in natural light and include colors such as red, yellow, blue and the like. Alternatively, the dye stain can be only visible to infrared light. The device can be used with round circular door-handles and lever door-handles. A shield around the door handle can discourage attempts to defeat the staining.

The present invention describes methods of screening for or selecting a catalytic antibody effective to cleave a target peptide. In particular, in the selection method of the present invention a phage gene is selected that encodes a gene product necessary for the production of a phage. The phage, carrying the modified gene is introduced into a host. Also, a library of rearranged immunoglobulin genes in a cloning vector is introduced into host cells. The host cells are grown under conditions in which the immunoglobulin genes are expressed in the host cells. The presence of antibodies capable of cleaving the target peptide is identified on the basis of production of phage.
