A multimeter instrument for measuring variables, such as electrical current, voltage, or resistance includes touch-sensitive zones for selection of the variable to be measured. The measurement circuit associated with the variable selected with the aid of touch-sensitive selection zones is activated by the zone selected.

An acquisition process for signal sampling includes high-speed analog signal sampling, storing the samples of the analog signal in a matrix of memory cells, and re-reading the samples from the cells at low speed. Two identical memory devices are provided in each memory cell. One sample of an analog signal is stored in one memory device, and one sample of that signal that is out of phase is stored in the other memory device.

An arrangement for measuring alternating or direct current based on the magnetic field generated by the flow of the current includes a sensor for sensing the magnetic field generated by the flow of the current, a measuring circuit for determining the current from the magnetic field, and a device for sensing an external parasitic magnetic field and producing a correction signal applied to the measuring circuit for accurate measurement of the current.

A polarized bistable electromagnetic relay arrangement comprising at least two monostable instantaneous electromagnetic relay devices with a L-shaped yoke, a permanent magnet disposed between both relay devices so that one magnetic pole be magnetically connected by polar masses to both yokes of the relay devices and polar masses magnetically connect the other pole of the magnet to both blades whereas the magnetic circuits of both relay devices are designed so that the magnetic flux produced by one energized coil passes in series through both blades while superposing themselves to the magnetic flux produced by the permanent magnet.

A device for quantified analog display, with planar structure, and measurement apparatus with multiple ranges and multiple operating modes using this display, which visualizes in analog form a value of a selected measured quantity among several. The display device comprises a flat substrate (2), a succession of identical electrodes (6) arranged side by side on one face of the substrate, and selectively excitable, and with at least one graduated scale (7) adjacent to the succession of identical electrodes (6) to determine the value of the measured quantity, in combination with at least one electrode of the succession of identical electrodes. The display device is characterized in that the graduated scale (7) is situated on the face of the substrate (2) bearing the succession of electrodes (6), and comprises at least first electrodes (9,11) forming a scale, and a number of sets of second electrodes (13-18), each set including a number of electrodes combining to compose two series of numbers, with the electrodes of the scales and those of the two number series common to the two series being connected electrically to a first output terminal (S23), with those specific to the first number series being connected electrically to a second output terminal (S24), and with those specific to the second number series being connected to a third output terminal (S25).

A multi-wavelength light emitting and receiving apparatus for monitoring connections by optical fibers comprising a case, an emission section, a reception section, a keyboard for selecting operating modes and measurement scales, a display arrangement, a processing unit including a microprocessor connected to the emission section, the reception section, the keyboard and the display arrangement, and a feed. The emission and reception sections are mounted in a drawer provided with a connector that can be inserted into a complementary connector provided in the case, this latter containing the keyboard, the display arrangement, the processing unit, and the feed. It also contains at least one more emitting/receiving drawer equipped with a connector that can be inserted in the said complementary connector of the case and contains another controlled current source, another light-emitting diode having an emission wave-length different from that of the first light-emitting diode and connected to the other controlled current source, another photoreceiver having a spectral window covering that of the other light-emitting diode and another amplifier connected to the outlet of the other photoreceiver. Each amplifier has a gain adapted to the response of the photoreceiver and associated with the wavelength emitted by the emitting diode situated in the corresponding drawer, such that at identical levels of light powers respectively emitted by the emitting diodes and respectively received by the photoreceivers the amplifiers deliver output signals having the same levels.
