A deflected drain (2) drilled in a producing zone (1) is equipped for the production of effluents and fitted with a perforated casing (3) and with a tubing (4). A depression is applied in different locations by selectively changing the position of the application points in relation to these locations. The position of the suction ports and/or the area thereof is varied through the selective opening of valves (8) or by displacing the inlet of the tubing (4). A tubing and/or a casing with perforations such that a determined distribution of the depression is obtained can be used. The depression can be produced by a pumping assembly (5) intercalated on the production tubing (4).

Method for favoring the production of effluents of a producing zone

In a petroliferous zone surmounting an aquifer, a lateral sweep stimulation is achieved by means of a fluid capable of displacing the petroleum effluents (a warm fluid such as steam, a solvent, etc), which is injected into the formation through a deflected injection drain, i.e. a first drain, horizontal for example), and the oil displaced by the displacement fluid is withdrawn through a withdrawing drain, i.e. a second drain, laterally offset in relation to the first drain and substantially parallel to it. In order to prevent the oil from being displaced into the aquifer and remaining trapped therein, a third drain and possibly a fourth drain closer to the interface (I) with the aquifer than the first and the second drain are bored into the petroliferous zone. A water circulation (injection and/or withdrawal) established by means of the third drain and/or of the fourth drain considerably limits the trapping of the displacement fluid and of the displaced oil by diverting the displacement lines of the fluidized effluents towards the second drain.

Method for stimulating an effluent-producing zone adjoining an aquifer

The method relates to the application to a deflected well (1) of a well-known consolidation process through the polymerization in situ of a liquid substance (L) injected within a zone (2) to be consolidated through an injection pipe (5), by interaction with a reacting gas G injected thereafter. In order to limit the zone of intervention and to properly distribute the substance and the gas all over this zone, a combination of a pipe whose wall is fitted with openings (11) all over the end part thereof (5a), a confining packer (8) and a solid separation element (10) displaced in the pipe after the liquid substance by the reacting gas, which prevents any interaction of the reacting gas before it reaches the zone to be consolidated, is used. Injecting the liquid mixture comprises successive stages of circulation between the inside of pipe (5) and the annulus between the pipe and the well (1) and of forcing to have it make through the formation properly. It is generally preceded by a stage of injection of solvent products.

In a drain (2) fitted with a perforated casing (3), a fluid under pressure is injected in various locations by selectively changing the position of the injection points in relation to these locations by means of a pipe (4). The position of the injection ports and/or the area thereof is varied through the selective opening of valves or by displacing an injection pipe (4). The density of the perforations of the casing (3) and/or of the injection pipe (4) can also be varied. A sweeping of the reservoir crossed by the drain is achieved by injecting for example a hot gaseous fluid such as steam under pressure and the density of the perforations (11) of a pipe (4) is for example selected in such a way that the amount of heat transferred to the formation is substantially constant along the drain.

Method for favoring the injection of fluids in producing zone

The invention relates to a process making it possible to consolidate a geological formation without significantly reducing its permeabiity. A liquid mixture (5) is injected into the formation (1) traversed by a well (2) and then at least one gas is injected through the formation under appropriate conditions. More specifically, the liquid mixture contains a polymerizable substance, preferably a melamine-formaldehyde resin, and at least one catalyst having a Lewis acid character and it substantially polymerizes at the temperature and pressure of the formation, while bonding the unconsolidated elements. Process for the consolidation of a geological formation by a substance

A subterranean zone and a neighbouring zone are, respectively, for example, a petroliferous deposit and an underlying aquiferous nappe at a fluid pressure higher than that prevailing in the subterranean zone. A method of stimulating production of effluent from the subterranean zone involves drilling at least one deflected drain (preferably nearly or totally horizontal) through the petroliferous zone, the neighbouring zone and an intermediate layer which separates the petroliferous zone from the aquiferous nappe. The intermediate layer is, for example, slightly permeable because of the presence of heavy and viscous hydrocarbon products. The drain is equipped with a pipe fitted with openings at the subterranean zone and at the neighbouring zone and with packer devices selectively positioned in the pipe. A controlled opening of one packer device during production allows injection of water under pressure into the subterranean zone in order to promote production of effluent therefrom.

A subterranean zone and a neighboring zone are, respectively, a petroliferous deposit and an underlying aquiferous nappe at a pressure higher than that prevailing in the subterranean zone, the two zones being separated by an intermediate substantially impervious or slightly permeable layer. The drain can be equipped with a pipe fitted with openings on a part of its length, with packers or like devices for effecting total or partial confining of the drain and with a fluid pressure source for causing fractures in the intermediate layer at the level of the confined portion. Through the fractures made during the production, water under pressure from the neighboring zone can be injected into the petroliferous zone which stimulates drainage of the deposit.
