A closure () for a container mouth, comprising a cap () and a retaining ring () for retaining the closure on a container mouth, a tether () is provided between the cap side wall and the retaining ring along the circumference of the cap, one end of the tether is fixedly connected to the side wall and the other end is fixedly connected to the retaining ring, in which the tether is connected to the cap by a root () and extends from the root in a clockwise direction.

A tamper-evident closure comprising a cap and a retaining ring, the retaining ring is connected to the sidewall by a plurality of bridges, at least one of the bridges is frangible and at least one of the bridges is non-frangible whereby to form a link between the ring and the sidewall.

A method of manufacturing a tamper-evident closure, comprising the steps of: forming a body having a base and a lid; and inserting a dispensing member and a tamper-evident member into the body.

A method of forming a bi-injected closure, comprising the steps of: forming a cap with a top plate and a depending sidewall, in a first injection moulding phase using a first mould part, the cap formed so as to include one or more external sealing areas; changing the first mould part for a second mould part, the second mould part sealing against the or each sealing area on the cap; and forming an outer ring around the cap sidewall whilst the second mould part is sealed against the sealing area/s in a second moulding phase.

Method of forming a closure

A tamper-evident screw closure () is provided and comprises: a head plate (); a substantially cylindrical skirt () having an internal screw thread (); and a tamper-evident drop band (), the band being frangibly connected to the lower edge of the skirt. The band comprises a first portion () directed downwardly from the cap skirt and a second portion () which extends from the lower end of the first portion and which is folded over inwardly and back in the direction of the head plate for engaging behind a securing ring on a container neck. At least one extension () is provided in axial extension of the second portion. The extension is provided with one or more notches () and the interior of the skirt is provided with one or more corresponding projections () which locate in the notches when the second portion is folded. Wherein when the closure is unscrewed the skirt breaks away from the band, and when the skirt is reapplied to the container neck the projections can push on the extension to ensure that the band drops away from the skirt.

A closure () comprising a base () and a lid (), the base and lid being joined by a hinge arrangement () so that the lid is movable between a closed position and an open position, the hinge arrangement comprising a main hinge () and a separate auxiliary hinge (), in which the lateral extent of the main hinge is greater than the lateral extent of the auxiliary hinge.

A head stand container closure is provided. The closure comprises a base, and a lid having a top plate upon which the closure rests in use. The base is attachable to a container and the lid is attached or attachable to the base. The closure comprises an internal tamper-evident member comprising a part which is initially spaced from the lid top plate and upon first opening of the closure the part moves to or towards the top plate when the head is in a head down orientation.

A closure includes a base and a lid, the base and lid being joined by a double hinge arrangement so that the lid is movable between a closed position and an open position. The double hinge arrangement includes a first hinge and a second hinge. The lid may be held stably in the open position via tongues or the like, which are provided on or by the lid, base, and/or hinge arrangement.

A tamper-evident closure may include a base, a lid, and a tamper-evident member. The tamper-evident member may be irreversibly moveable between a first position in which part of the member is visible prior to initial opening of the closure and a second position in which the part is masked by the lid so as to be partly hidden from view. Upon initial opening of the closure, the tamper-evident member may be moved from the first position to the second position.

A cap comprising an upper part () having a dispensing orifice (), a skirt () which depends from the upper part (), a lid () connected to the upper part by a hinge () so as to be movable between open and closed positions of the orifice (); tamper-evident band () joined to the upper part () by frangible straps () each having a zone of least resistance for rupture, and which defines a hooking edge () in the closed position for receiving a hook () carried by the lid (). The lid includes means () for retaining the band () in order to hold it against the lid () in the closed position and to prevent manipulation of the band to open the lid without rupture of the straps.

A pourer spout for a composite package of the carton brick type, arranged to be located level with the opening zone of the latter. The pourer spout comprises a base ( ) fixed onto the container around the opening zone, and an articulated cover ( ), able to reclose the container after opening. A perforating piece ( ) is mounted pivotally on the base ( ), facing the opening zone, in order to be moved between an initial position in which it is situated entirely outside the container to a final position in which it is situated substantially inside the container. A striker ( ) is mounted pivotally on the base ( ) in order to push the perforating piece ( ) towards the inside of the container while perforating the wall of the latter and to more or less take the initial position of the perforating piece ( ), the striker ( ) in this last position acting as pourer.
