A hinge (7) is used to join two parts (5, 6) of a band or bracelet, the hinge enabling the parts to be attached and detached when the parts are positioned at a predetermined angle relative to each other. The first part (6) comprises an assembly formed of a pin (10) and a first cradle (11) which partially surrounds the pin, with which it is coaxial, wherein a space (12) is provided between the pin and the first cradle. The second part comprises a second cradle (14) which is designed to slide into the space (12) and to be articulated around the pin to keep the two parts attached together within a given angular range. The invention may be employed on a folding clasp of a band for a wristwatch.

Releasable hinge for a bracelet

An electronic timepiece is provided with an alarm and means coupling a sounding unit to a circuit generating a sonic signal. The first electrode (6) of the sounding unit (5) is mechanically and electrically fixed to a metallized decoration (4) set under the glass (3). Two conductive members (12) are arranged to pass through the timepiece dial and then to be elastically supported, the first against the decoration (4) and the second against the second electrode (7) of the sounding unit in order to connect said unit to the terminals (10) of the signal generating circuit. The arrangement facilitates encasing the timepiece and thus realizes an increased productivity.

Electronic timepiece including an electro-acoustic transducer

A timepiece is provided which in addition to indicating information concerning the time and the date furnishes information relating to the direction and sense of the terrestrial magnetic field. The display is provided with an arrow which may be permanent or displayed at the will of the user and which indicates in which sense the display must be turned in order to align a fixed axis with the direction of the terrestrial field. An azimuth indication may appear giving the angle between the direction north and the route followed. A built in static detector picks up indications of the magnetic field.

Timepiece for displaying both time and orientation of the timepiece

A jointed electronic watch comprises a plurality of watch cases each capable of bearing a different type of display and an energy source. Between the back covers (4, 5, 6) and case bands of each case are sandwiched seals (9, 10, 11) which are coupled together by isthmuses (12) at the line of articulation of the back covers and which are formed as a single piece. Within the isthmuses are arranged electrical conductors adapted to couple together the various electronic components within the plurality of cases.
