The present invention relates to light curtains, in particular safety light curtains, for monitoring a protective field. Furthermore, the present invention relates to optical units which are part of such a light curtain according to the present invention, an optical unit comprises a plurality of radiation emitting and/or radiation receiving elements for transmitting and/or receiving radiation beams forming said light curtain, and an elongated support element forming an outer housing of said optical unit said support element having two opposing peripheral regions which are formed to allow an abutting assembly with another identical optical unit. Said radiation emitting and/or radiation receiving elements are arranged within said support element to form a row, and wherein at least one peripheral one of said radiation emitting and/or radiation receiving elements is located directly adjacent to an outer wall of at least one of said peripheral regions of the support element.

Cascading of optical units of a light curtain

An optical module for an optical unit associated with forming a light curtain for monitoring a protective or surveillance field. The optical module includes at least one radiation emitting and/or radiation receiving element for transmitting and/or receiving a radiation beam associated with forming a light curtain. The optical module includes a module body for mounting a radiation transmitter/receiver carrier that carries the at least one transmitting and/or receiving element associated with the radiation beam. The module body has at least one alignment element for aligning the optical module within a support element that forms an outer housing of the optical unit.

Optical module and optical unit for a light curtain, and fabrication method

A lens carrier and an optical module for forming a light curtain associated with monitoring a protective field. The lens carrier includes at least one lens for focusing a radiation beam forming said light curtain and a lens mask having at least one opening for shaping the radiation beam to have a predetermined aperture. The lens carrier is formed by overmolding said lens mask with a transparent material. The optical module has such a lens carrier and a module body for mounting a radiation transmitter/receiver carrier that comprises at least one transmitter and/or receiver for transmitting and/or receiving said radiation.

Lens carrier and optical module for a light curtain and fabrication method

A belt lock for a seat belt system includes a locking mechanism arranged in a belt lock housing formed from two housing shells for an inserted belt tongue. The locking mechanism has an axially movable component that changes its location from a first end position into a second end position when the locking mechanism is actuated. The locking mechanism is also equipped with a switch arrangement that has at least one fixed contact part and one switching contact part that can move relative to it and on which, in an end position of the component that changes its location, the component acts. The switching contact part is configured as a clamp-shaped elastic sheet part with two axially running side braces that are provided with knee-like bends that, in an end position of the axially movable component, are mechanically exposed to pressure by the component.

Belt lock with a switch arrangement for detection of the locking status

A belt lock for a seat belt equipped with a locking mechanism that is arranged in a belt lock housing. The locking mechanism has a component that changes its location from a first end position into a second end position and detects a locking status. In the actuation of the locking mechanism, the component that changes its location interacts with the detector of the locking status. The locking status is detected by an electromechanical switch that is arranged in the vicinity of the component that changes its location and can be actuated upon its movement from the first into the second end position.

Belt lock with a means for detecting the locking status

A belt lock for a seat belt that has a locking mechanism that is arranged in a belt lock housing. The locking mechanism includes a component that changes location from a first end position into a second end position when the locking mechanism is actuated, and in doing so interacts with a status detector. The status detector is designed as an electrical switching system. The component that changes location is a mandrel that can be moved axially when the locking mechanism is actuated and that is provided with an electrically conductive contact region and forms a component of the electrical switching system.

Switch assembly, including a fixed contact part, an elastic switching contact part, a mounting plate, wherein the fixed contact part and the switching contact part are located on the mounting plate, the switching contact part having at least one extension that projects beyond an outside surface of the mounting plate upon installation and in an operating position such that when the switching contact part is exposed to pressure in a direction of the mounting plate, an electrical signal between the elastic switching contact part and the fixed contact part will be either interrupted or established. A fixing mechanism pretensions the switching contact part prior to installation such that the at least one extension does not project beyond the outside surface of the mounting plate. The fixing mechanism releases the switching contact part tension when the switch assembly is installed and in the operating position.
