A computer-implemented method for designing a built-in test is described. The method includes receiving, via a processor, a subsystem model including system parameters for a heat exchanger, wherein each of the system parameters includes a sensor variance; determining, via the processor, a test design vector based on one or more of the system parameters; and designing, via the processor, the built-in test based on the test design vector.

Plate-fin heat exchanger fouling identification

An apparatus for use in a system having a gas fuel supply and a combustor includes a fuel actuator, a controller; and a premixer. The controller generates a command signal indicative of actuation sought from the fuel actuator. The actuator receives gas fuel from the liquid fuel supply and provides liquid fuel at a modulated rate of flow in response to the command signal. The premixer receives the fuel from the actuator, mixes the fuel with air, and provides the mixture to the combustor.

An active noise (or vibration) control system having an actuator 24 which provides an acoustic anti-noise signal in response to an drive signal (U), an error sensor 16 which senses the acoustic anti-noise signal from the actuator, senses disturbance noise (d), and provides an error signal (e) indicative of a combination thereof, and a controller 20, responsive to the error signal (e), which provides the drive signal (U) to the actuator 24, is provided with controller compensation 78 having energy states 112 and having non-linear reset logic 130 which temporarily resets the energy states 112 in the filter 78 to zero when the error signal crosses zero, thereby improving the bandwidth of the active noise control system.
