A sequential compression and temperature therapy blanket with a plurality of air chambers is disclosed. The air chambers are filled and released by a valve assembly that may be separate from or integrated within the blanket. The temperature therapy blanket includes a fluid bladder for delivering hot and/or cold therapy to a patient. The temperature therapy blanket may also include an air bladder for providing compression.

Compression sequenced thermal therapy system

A method of removing heat from a heat generating component. A geometrically reoriented heat pipe is formed including an evaporator section and a condenser section geometrically reoriented relative to the evaporator section. The evaporator section is positioned proximate to the heat generating component. A thermoelectric element is positioned between the at least one heat generating component and the evaporator section. Heat is transferred, via the thermoelectric element, from the heat generating component to a heat transfer fluid contained within the evaporator section. The heated fluid migrates to the condenser section. The fluid is cooled within the condenser section and the fluid is returned to the evaporator section.

Method of removing heat utilizing geometrically reoriented low-profile phase plane heat pipes

A cooling system for removing heat from at least one heat generating component with a first low-profile phase plane heat pipe having a geometrically reoriented surface adapted for receiving heat from the at least one heat generating component along a first section of the geometrically reoriented surface, and having a plurality of micro-tubes disposed therein. A heat transfer fluid is contained with the plurality of micro-tubes and a second section of the geometrically reoriented heat pipe surface is disposed in a position geometrically offset from the first section.

Geometrically reoriented low-profile phase plane heat pipes

A stackable heat transfer system incorporating a plurality of flow controlled endcaps facilitating select flow of heat transfer fluid through low profile extrusions. The low profile extrusions are mounted in a sandwiched configuration with thermal electric cooling arrays for providing heat dissipation from the cooler arrays and the heat transfer from a low profile extrusion sandwiched the cooler arrays.
