The present disclosure relates to an enhanced session model capable of managing the configuration and the usage of a single packet data unit session, which is an association between a user equipment and a packet data network entity and is composed of multiple transmission bearers between the access network and the core network. The latter comprises a session type manager entity adapted to control the connectivity of these transmission bearers whose assignment is either individual or shared, multiple user plane function entities, a session type database and a control plane function entity. The latter can be functionally separate from the session type manager entity or extended with its functionalities. The user equipment and the user plane function entities are individually extended with the functionalities of, respectively, a user session type extension entity and user plane session type extension entities, which all comprise a respective mapping table dedicated to the assignment.

System and method for enhanced session management in nextgen mobile core networks

The present disclosure relates to systems, devices, and methods for communication services. The present disclosure relates to the generation of analytics in a mobile network. The disclosure is concerned with tracing and exposing data information, which is used for generating analytics outputs to enable examination of the analytics outputs. The disclosure provides network entities and methods, which support the analytics generation and examination thereof, respectively. For instance, a first network entity for analytics generation is configured to receive, from a second network entity, a request for providing analytics information associated with at least one generated analytics output. Further, the first network entity is configured to provide the analytics information to the second network entity, wherein the analytics information comprises data information used to generate the at least one generated analytics output, wherein the data information comprises reference to data or data itself.

Tracing and exposing data used for generating analytics

Analytics information is generated in a new generation mobile network. A first network entity generates the analytics information, and a second network entity and a third network entity support the analytics generation. The first network entity is configured to obtain, from the second network entity or from one or more third network entities, past and/or current association information for an area of interest. Further, it is configured to provide analytics information based on the obtained association information for the area of interest. The past and/or current association information indicates one or more other network entities and/or network properties that, respectively, have been and/or are mapped to or serving the area of interest.

The present disclosure relates to performing mobile network configurations or changes. A first device is presented for performing the mobile network configuration or change, and a second device is presented for generating feedback for supporting the mobile network configuration or change. The first device is configured to send a support request to the second device, wherein the support request specifies a reusable or specific feedback type and a target information. The second device is configured to send reusable or specific feedback about the target information in response to the support request. Analytics information can be used in a mobile network. Network entities and corresponding methods support the generation of such analytics information. In particular, network entities and methods can facilitate the gathering of information required for the analytics generation. A network entity for analytics generation may be configured to obtain network slice association (NSA) information and/or user plane association (UPA) information from one or more other network entities, where the NSA information indicates a relation between an Access Network (AN) property and a Core Network (CN) property, and the UPA information indicates a network entity configured to transmit data traffic to and/or from a user equipment in the network. Further, the network entity may be configured to provide analytics information, the analytics information being based on the obtained NSA information and/or UPA information.

Devices and methods for analytics exposure to application functions in 5G networks

A method supports transfer of service traffic between an external network entity and a second network entity.
