Gaming devices, and methods for operating them, are provided that may display an attract mode display that includes one or more bonus markers and a plurality of denomination markers. One of the denomination markers may be highlighted, and a bonus prize associated with a bonus marker and the currently highlighted denomination marker may be determined and displayed in a region of the display associated with that bonus marker. The display may be controlled to display a denomination transition in which the highlighted denomination marker reverts to a non-highlighted representation and the next denomination marker is highlighted. In conjunction therewith, a bonus transition may be displayed in which the bonus prize displayed in association with at least one bonus marker is changed to a bonus prize associated with both that bonus marker and the newly highlighted denomination marker. Such operations may be repeated one or more times, if desired.

Gaming device and method for operating a gaming device

A gaming device comprises a display, a processor, and a memory storing (a) a current symbol position state defining, for each of a plurality of columns of symbol positions, a number of symbol positions for which symbols are to be selected; (b) a pay table; and (c) instructions. The instructions cause the processor to control the display to display a plurality of columns of symbol positions corresponding to the current symbol position state, select symbols for the displayed symbol positions by selecting stopping positions of a plurality of reel strips, wherein at least one of the reel strips comprises at least one designated symbol, evaluate the symbols for winning combinations based on the pay table, and responsive to the selected symbols of a column including a designated symbol, modify the symbol position state for the respective column to include at least one additional symbol position for a next symbol selection.

Gaming device with a changing arrangement of symbol display positions

A gaming device comprises a display, a processor, and a memory storing (a) a current symbol position state defining, for each of a plurality of columns of symbol positions, a number of symbol positions for which symbols are to be selected; (b) a pay table; and (c) instructions. A multi-game gaming machine comprises a touch screen display, and a controller responsive to a configuration command to enter a configuration mode in which the controller controls the touch screen display to display a configuration menu including a game package selection sub-menu. The gaming machine is operable in the configuration mode to select between a plurality of game packages that are different from one another, each game package comprising a plurality of games playable on the gaming machine when the respective game package is selected. The controller controls the touch screen display to display a game selection interface when the gaming machine is in a game selection mode, the game selection interface including game images corresponding to each game of the selected game package. The controller is responsive to a touch input in respect of a respective game image to change the touch screen display to reflect selection of the game associated with the respective game image.
