The invention relates to pyrrolone compounds of the formula (I) wherein X, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare as defined in the specification. Furthermore, the present invention relates to processes and intermediates for making compounds of formula (I), to herbicidal compositions comprising these compounds and to methods of using these compounds to control plant growth.

Herbicidal compounds

The invention relates to substituted pyrrolone derivatives of the formula (I) wherein X, A, R, Rand Rare as defined in the specification. Furthermore, the present invention relates to processes and intermediates for making compounds of formula (I), to herbicidal compositions comprising these compounds and to methods of using these compounds to control or inhibit plant growth. 

The invention relates to substituted dihydro-hydantoin derivatives of the formula (I) wherein X, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare as defined in the specification. Furthermore, the present invention relates to processes and intermediates for making compounds of formula (I), to herbicidal compositions comprising these compounds and to methods of using these compounds 10 to control or inhibit plant growth.

Compounds of formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined in claim, are suitable for use as herbicides. 

5-heterocyclylalkyl-3-hydroxy-2-phenylcyclopent-2-enones as herbicides

The invention relates to a compound of formula (I), which is suitable for use as a herbicide wherein G is hydrogen or an agriculturally acceptable metal, sulfonium, ammonium or latentiating group; Q is a unsubstituted or substituted C-Csaturated or mono-unsaturated heterocyclyl containing at least one heteroatom selected from O, N and S, or Q is heteroaryl or substituted heteroaryl; m is 1, 2 or 3; and Het is an optionally substituted monocyclic or bicyclic heteroaromatic ring; and wherein the compound is optionally an agronomically acceptable salt thereof. 

Herbicides

Compounds of formula (I) are suitable for use as herbicides: wherein R is methyl, ethyl, vinyl, ethynyl or cyclopropyl, Ris hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Chaloalkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Chaloalkoxy, vinyl, propenyl, ethynyl, propynyl, halogen, or optionally substituted phenyl, Ris methyl, ethyl, vinyl, ethynyl or methoxy, Rand Rare hydrogen or together form a double bond, A is C-Ccycloalkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted once or twice by C-Calkyl, C-Chaloalkyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Calkylcarbonyloxy, C-Calkenyl, &#x2550;O or &#x2550;N&#x2014;R, or A is cyclohexyl substituted once, at the 4-position, by one (C-Ccycloalkyl)methoxy, C-Ccycloalkyloxy, C-Calkenyl-CH-oxy, or benzyloxy substituent, or A is decahydro-1-naphthyl or decahydro-2-naphthyl, or A is optionally substituted phenyl, and G is hydrogen or an agriculturally acceptable metal, sulfonium, ammonium or a latentiating group. 

The present invention relates to novel herbicidal [1,8]-naphthyridines of Formula (Ia) or (Ib), or an agronomically acceptable salt of said compound wherein R, R, R, R, R, R, R, n, m, X and Q are as defined herein. The invention further relates to processes and intermediates for the preparation of the [1,8]-naphthyridines, to compositions which comprise the herbicidal compounds, and to their use for controlling weeds, in particular in crops of useful plants.
